Jonathan Gull.. high in the air
Today wasn't quite as bad as I had expected, mainly because I don't think Julie realized I was over-dinner, and kicked me out at 5pm, which was a relief to me, as I was starting to get a headache. I was in a good mood all day, which was a nice surprise actually, considering those long days can get to me sometimes.
I spent most of the time making salads, organizing everything and uhh.. yeah, just working. Nothing special to really add... it was a fine day at work, and things got done.
When I got home, I was hungry, but had no idea what to cook... I pretty much only had a couple options, and that was cook the beef tenderloin I had pulled to the fridge a couple days earlier, or make spaghetti for the third day in a row... and since I didn't want spaghetti again, I decided on the beef, even though that process requires much more effort, creates a lot more dishes, and takes more time. For some reason... maybe I was still in 'work mode', I didn't really mind, and got most of it done very quickly, so it was pretty painless. I enjoyed dinner with Star Trek: TNG, chatting on the computer beside me while eating AND watching TV, and it was delicious.
After dinner, I decided to make coffee, and do the dishes while the coffee was brewing, just to get it done before I got too tired to stand up. I paused Star Trek (obviously), and did all the dishes, and then really debated on cleaning the rest of the place, but i figured... coming home to a clean place tomorrow will feel good, and I seemed to have a strange level of energy even though my body felt tired and sore, so I finally decided on cleaning a bit more before enjoying my dessert. Oh yes, and all of this took place during a quite long and awesome thunderstorm. I scooped the litter, swept, emptied the garbage and took it down to the bin, which I did slowly... slower than neccessary... enjoying each rain drop as it hit my neck. Once I was happy with the place, I finally sat down with my coffee and Mr. Big, and finished the episode of Star Trek.
By this time, it was already 8:30pm or something, so I just said fuck it, and took a sleeping pill and ran a bath, as I know that going to bed earlier is never bad, and I was so tired that it didn't seem like a bad idea, and I was feeling rather bored, had no one to talk to and no movies to watch.
As I ran my bath, and right before I got in, Julie called, so we ended up talking for quite a while... probably a half hour or something, it was nice to talk outside of work for what seems like quite awhile. I also got a couple work related texts from Jon, about brunch prep, which is fine, it's easy enough to reply. What's funny is that he called while I was in my bath, so like... he's talked to me naked now, and I kind of feel violated.. aaahhtsssstsssstssssst.
After my bath, I talked to Julie again for a little bit, mostly about food related puns, as I think everyone knows that puns are the funniest form of humour ever. I started writing this afterward, and I'll probably be up for another hour or so before heading to bed. I may play a game like.. Trine.. or something, or I may try to read, even though I'm feelin' pretty fuzzy at this point.
Tomorrow is a very busy continental of over 100 people and then the normal Sunday brunch, which is a lot of work on it's own, and then we have another wedding to get ready, and then on top of that there is a very large and annoying event on Monday, which should have some things done for it tomorrow, so there is a lot to do, and I don't even get a day off Monday, so really, tomorrow sucks, I have nothing to look forward to, and uhh... someone fucking amuse me dammit!
