Ashe
I just want to say that having a microwave that can fit a bag of popcorn without it getting stuck is amazing, and while it may seem silly to say that, it's the small things that matter, small things that make up everything worth anything in life, and that's a small thing I've recently come to enjoy.
We got our puppy today, Ashe, from out in the country, and it was quite the drive, and has been quite the day. I can spare the details because well... driving is driving. The rain and wind were pretty strong and it took about a hour there and an hour back, we paid for the rest of the puppy, got some puppy food and the vet papers and got the puppy home.
The most stressful part of owning a puppy so far is the house training. Having the puppy have terrible liquid shit all over the carpet without warning was an interesting first experience, followed up by another squirt minutes later on my pant leg. She refuses to walk with me on a leash, so she sits and refuses to move, so taking her outside is difficult, in that she won't go outside on her own. I have to pick her up and bring her out, which means at the drop of a hat, I need to have my shoes and coat ready at a seconds notice to run out the door as soon as I see a warning sign or squatting, and it's really tough.
I just got her to pee and poo outside, both, for the first time, and it made me happy. It's going to be a lot of work...
