Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Yes, today, May 13th is my Mom's birthday and she's turning 28, so everyone can wish her a Happy Birthday! As anyone who's ever met my Mom knows, she's the most kind, selfless, thoughtful and intelligent person in the world; a person who would never say anything hurtful on purpose, and someone who would stand behind you no matter what. Every time I talk to my Mom I feel comforted, even if we're just talking about how awesome Heroes is or how funny House is, because I know that I have the potential inside of me to be as strong and intelligent as her, and that brings me great comfort, and motivates me to be a better person. Yesterday we drove to Hamilton to visit my Grandpa to have a celebratory dinner for her birthday.

This is me in a car

My Mom and Lindy came over to pick me up around 1pm, but came in for a few minutes and said hi to the cats (My Mom got to see Marle before she ran and hid under the bed) and Lindy played some Guitar Hero 2 while my Mom watched, which was fun (she played Killing In The Name by Rage Against The Machine... it's her favorite song). We left and on the way out of the city we stopped at McDonalds for nuggets for Lindy and myself, and then stopped at Tim Horton's so My Mom and Lindy could get a coffee and my Mom got a cranberry muffin. After that it was a pretty standard trip to Hamilton, although we didn't have any music, we just talked on the way there and ate our food.

We had my Mom's choice for supper, which was a roast beef and potatoes, with veggies and for dessert we had a crazy good yummy chocolate and strawberry thing (Pavlova?) and I ended up having three pieces of it because it was so good and then took home half of what was left. Supper was, of course, really good and really enjoyable (it's the only time I ever have beef that really feels like meat and not rubber).

We stayed until around 7:00pm or so, and left to get home before dark. We talked on the way home again (and I read a bit of a cosmo) and we got home pretty late compared to normal, because we dropped off my Mom first, went in to her place to show her how to get the pictures off her new digital camera (which was used to take these pictures). From there we went to Lindy's place so I could show her how to get the pictures off the camera, and then she drove me home. All in all it was a good day.

So, Happy Birthday Mom, and I hope you also had a good day. I'm pretty sure that everyone who's ever met you would also wish you a Happy Birthday and probably some people who haven't met you do too. Have a relaxing day.
