Failures
I have not been having good days this week. A mix of the weather, and just feeling really down and frustrated at home.
Today was probably the worst, mostly due to the fact that one of the hard drives in my computer died (one of my four) but it was my secondary drive with all my program files. I didn't know what was wrong but my computer just stopped working. Windows just froze up and wouldn't function (because it couldn't read those program files but gave no error). After booting into safe mode, when I tried to access that drive it gave me a failure message, which is how I figured it out.
I had to keep unplugging drives, one at at time and then restarting the computer into safe mode, until I had found the right one and unplugged the one that was stopping windows from working. After a crapload of time, I finally got the right one unplugged, my computer turned on and worked normally but I am left frustrated, annoyed and very upset about what was lost.
Things like my documents, my web development and web server, my sql server, and all of my media center information (connection, what shows I have, what have been watched, etc) are all lost, as well as all my steam games, progress, info, etc. It will take time to rebuilt my media center.
Disappointed, sore, tired, sad, annoyed... sitting here watching Mortal Kombat, a terribly funny movie. Maybe I'll start feeling better soon... maybe after this weekend.
