Watching Arrow. How many times will I start an entry by saying that I'm watching Arrow? Haha, it's kind of a problem, in that I find the show so ridiculous but I can't stop watching. It's getting worse and worse with each episode, but still... can't stop watching.

Today I spent the entire work day working on the same thing, the same feature. It was an inventory filter, a kind of sidebar where you can filter the listings by make, model, whatever. Before it was this pretty terrible hardcoded, terribly programmed file that was just included in the website's layout file. It wasn't flexibile, and changing it for one website would then change it on every other website using it. While when it was first made, that idea seemed great, because we could write the filter once, and then we've got it on all sites, but then when dude wants it to look a bit different on his site, it suddenly changes somewhere else, and that kind of thing is not good design. It was so inefficient and terrible that I decided to start from scratch, with a completely object oriented design.

I created a filter class, with completely customizable options, I've created something that's quite a bit better than anything I've done before I think. I'm very happy with it, and even though it took the whole day of work, I think I'm pretty much done with it. I do want to write up some user manual type thing with documentation, so that at any time, anyone can see how to use it without any explanation. Which also leads me to another goal of mine, which is creating some kind of documentation/user manual for all my work related stuff I make, so that other people at work or even new hires, would know how to use the stuff.

For dinner tonight I had chicken fingers and potato wedges, which was nice since it was grocery shopping night, and I got home late, so I just had to throw the stuff in the oven and not really do anything. After dinner, I watched DS9, sat around for a bit, and eventually had a bath. After my bath, Bekki and I grabbed a snack (Dill Pickle chips what what) and started watching Arrow.

I've decided not to take a sleeping pill tonight because I've been feeling just so tired lately. I've been having memory issues lately, and writing issues too. It's the medication I'm on, it's messing up my sleep, and my health and my everything. I think I may take sleeping pills each night more for the comfort of the routine more than the need to fall asleep. Sometimes they don't even make me fall asleep.
