Weird
It's disappointing that I was relaxing watching Jimmy and the thought of writing didn't even cross my mind until I went to the computer on my commercial break and remembered I had a website.
On Tuesday, I had the family over for dinner, mainly because I wanted an excuse to have dinner with everyone over (everyone being my Mom and Sister). I made a pork shoulder roast (which is like ham basically) with scalloped potatoes, brocolli and cauliflower, corn... and for dessert my Mom brought Angel Food Cake, and I made these yummy mocha creme caramels. Everything turned out well, and it was a fun time for everyone I think.
I had a C++ midterm today, and it was quite easy for me because all week I had been working night and day on a small C++ project uTunes (might not be the final name) a small application that reads an itunes music library xml file and outputs an html web page displaying statistics and graphs showing you your most played songs, artists, albums, genres and so on. Special thanks to Ben for just passing back and forth ideas with me on how to optimize the code. A few days ago it would process a 600 song library in about 2 seconds, but when processing my 32000 song library it took upwards of 6 minutes or more, and after spending about a full day working on optimizing, moving around code or changing small things, instead of taking 6 minutes, it now takes around 2 seconds, which is just mind blowing. I may create a small page for this app, and may expand upon it's capabilities later on, it'll be a fun project to go back to as I think of new ideas for it. I'll post anything that I do, as I do it.
Due to the time of my midterm, I had to go right from school to work, so I just stopped at the Wendy's at Oxford and Richmond for lunch. Their CO2 machine thing was broken so they weren't offering any pops, so I went to the Macs right there and bought a coke, and then just got a burger and fries... it was freezing in the dining room, so I just ate quickly, picked up a couple things from the grocery store and went to work.
Work was pretty easy, it was just hor deurves, and all I had to do was cook and hand them to servers, and Jon helped me out since it wasn't busy in the cafe. I left around 7:30 and took the bus home.
Once home, I ate a microwavable lasagna, watched the nights episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Afterward, I sat down and played some WoW to relax, ended up questing on my Warrior, my least played character since Cata, and it was pretty fun, I was trying fury, and I always feel weak when using that spec, but I was kind of getting the hang of it, and it may turn out to be pretty fun.
At 12:30, I logged off, changed into my pj's, took a sleeping pill and turned on Jimmy Fallon. Now I'm writing this, not really feeling sleepy. I have to work at 10am tomorrow, so I need to wave up by 8:30, leave by 9am, and it should be a decent enough day. Nothing going on until 7:30, so I have a lot of time to get things ready, less pressure, should feel a bit more relaxed.
Goodnight!
