TV That's Not on the TV!

I've been doing a lot of downloading lately... mostly television shows. I was just thinking about some of the shows that really comfort me, and that I like to fall asleep too, or at least just relax too, so I decided to check online to see if I could find some torrents.

I downloaded the entire series of Futurama (5 seasons) and Family Guy (4 seasons).. the best part was that both of these torrents were large (Futurama was around 12GB and Family Guy was 8GB), I downloaded them within one day. The Futurama torrent had 5000 seeds and 60,000 leechers, and I got consistent speeds of 600k/sec, and Family Guy was done when I woke up the morning after I had added it. On top of that I'm downloading the entire series of Friends (10 seasons), the first season of That 70's Show, and a few random seasons of The Simpsons. Good thing I've got 400GB of storage and I don't really have to worry about running out of room hehe. These shows are timeless and will never get old... and while I love The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, they're jokes are very time sensitive, and it's just not the same watching them a week or a month after they air, so I decided not to download large amounts of them. The only time I really download them is when I miss an episode and I want to watch it that same week.

Season 1 of Futurama was only 7 episodes or so, and I watched them all in about two days, so I'm on to seasons 2 now. It's very nice to have something to enjoy while trying to relax for bed, no matter what time it is.

Anthony and I have been playing Diablo 2 still, usually in the middle of the night if we're both still awake, and it's continued to be a lot of fun, especially since this is his first time playing through the game.

I've also started work on a giant, complex project and I have to admit it's very difficult to work on since so much has to go into it, there's no obvious logical place to start... so it's hard to plan, and sit down and actually do anything on it. I managed to do a few things, but in the end it didn't really work out as planned and the entire idea, and work, might have to be scrapped. Oh well... learning process right?

I'm just wasting time until The Daily Show and Colbert come on... Scrubs was on tonight and it was funny.. but I spent most of it making supper so I didn't really get to sit, relax, enjoy or be comforted by it's familiarity. Oh well...

I might write another entry later on tonight, or you may just hear from me tomorrow. Who knows! OH GOD!
