Excessive Forum News

In my effort to further increase the awesomeness that is Mark spamming a userless message board, I've continued to fix and add features to the forum.

Excessive Forum Updates

  • Double-post Prevention has been introduced and will now attempt to prevent double posts by users.
  • Fixed an issue that would incorrectly display active users. It will now accuratley show users who are actually viewing the board.
  • When posting, the forum will now bring you directly to your new post, rather than bringing you to the forum index.
  • Fixed an issue that would keep the link to the forum hidden from anyone who wasn't logged in. Users who are not logged in still can't post in the forum, but they can now reach it easier to read.
  • Increased the max subject line length to 100 characters from 50; this doesn't mean you should abuse the length though.
  • Forum now correctly displays the default avatar if a users custom avatar is broken or missing.
  • Changed the details in the notification email to display more information and more useful links.
  • Suggestions?

Keep the suggestions coming, there have been some good ones so far. I don't plan on stopping work on this script for a long time, so keep leaving your ideas. Enjoy.

yeah, i'd need the errors in order to start figuring it out.

tell her to copy and paste them into an email to me or you.

I work and develop on the existing script, so while im working and testing, the errors show up on the real forum as im working, so she could have been unlucky and accessed it while I was testing a new feature. Since no one is having any other problems, and I don't see what the problems could be, it probably was a freak occurance.
