Project Blog Updates
The script will now keep track of how many users are currently viewing the page who are not logged in (called Guests). Before the script would only show how many active users there were based on users logged in, now it takes into consideration users who are not logged in but still accessing the page.
A few things I did to enhance this feature are... when a user with an account comes to the site, it will consider them a guest, but as soon as they log in, the guest count will automatically go down and they will be counted as an active logged in user. Also, when a logged in user logs out, they're name is automatically taken off of the active users list, and they are counted as a guest. Also, there is now a new pane under the title bar, where it lists the display names of the active users (and the number of guests if applicable). I had planned on having this from day one, but it wasn't until now that I thought of an easy way to do it.
Both users and guests are considered active for up to 10 minutes from their last activity.
