It's The Next Day Now

It's the day after my birthday, so technically it's the longest possible time to my next birthday today. That's perfectly okay though, as about halfway to my birthday I forget how old I actually am, and then I'm surprised when my birthday comes when someone tells me my age. It's like a present in itself!

So not as many people left me happy birthday comments as I had expected... hmmm.. not quite depressing really, as I'm completely aware that I'm not really friends with anyone anymore. One year I got 24 people who had left me comments, this year... 4! SCORE! Of the six people that said anything to me on my birthday, the most surprising (pleasantly) was probably from Emily and Ben. Early in the afternoon Emily sent me a message and she wished me a happy birthday and then we talked about her new job and how she has voice mail. Then later at night Ben sent me a message on MSN and wished me a happy birthday and we talked about Starcraft 2 and various other stuff and even arranged to hang out next Friday, so both of those experiences were a nice surprise.

I only got about three hours of sleep yesterday, as I couldn't fall asleep at all, so I just stayed up watching That 70's Show and stuff, and finally fell asleep around 11am, and slept until 2pm. Around 5pm, my Mom and my Sister came over to pick me up for supper, and Michelle and I got in the car and we went to some restaraunt called North (my Mom and Sister had gift certificates from work) and it was some fancy, snobby-type place. The menu was only one page; they served maybe... eight dishes, all of them were around $25-$30. I ordered some bread ($8) and it was just four cracker sized pieces with a bunch of gross onion shit on it. My Mom and I ordered Atlantic Salmon (which was really good Salmon), Michelle got some chicken with noodles (like a ravioli) and my Sister got a steak. All in all, I didn't enjoy the meal anymore than I would've enjoyed a pizza, or even a meal I had cooked myself, and it came to $100. So, I wouldn't go there again, and if you aren't some rich asshole with a giant stick up your ass, I wouldn't recommend going.

After we got home, we played a tiny bit of Guitar Hero 2, and then played some Diablo 2 (beat about half of Act 2) and then we watched movies. Michelle and I watched Hostel, and Hostel 2. Both were quite horrible movies. The first was better than the second, mainly because at least it had lots of naked girls in it. So, the first Hostel was about 60% porno, 40% brutal violence. Who wouldn't like that a little bit? The second one, Hostel 2, is just like the first one, but without the nudity. So... why watch? It's like 60% boring scenes slightly hinting that there might be some sex but then not delivering the hot lesbian action, then 40% brutal violence. Add in a retarded ending, and stupid twists, and you have the movie. On IMDB, I gave the first a 4, and the second a 3. Below average, one being slightly better than the second. I wouldn't really recommend them to other people, simply because for the same effect you can just watch some porn and enjoy it so much more.

The plans for today include nothing, with a batch of nothing else. Well actually, I want to play a bunch of random games with Michelle, so that will probably happen. I'll probably also do the normal cleaning stuff I do on Tuesdays, and I might even make a supper! If I can actually find enough food to put together a normal meal.

Next Friday Ben is going to come over and we're going to be rocking the Killer Instinct: Gold, Tekken/Soul Calibur/Virtua Fighter and StarCraft games. Plus everything else I own, so that's gonna be all kinds of kick ass. He learns games very quickly, like me, and after a learning curve, I can easily assume he'll be very close to my equal, something I rarely experience.

I think that's it for now. I need to take my pijama bottoms off and get a shirt that isn't bright orange... even though Sugar Ray is kickass and you all suck.
