Time to Write

It's time to write!

I woke up to a nightmare today... well, I woke up half way through the night to a headache... I went to bed feeling pretty good, in fact, I had a pretty good night. I played World of Warcraft a bit, I played quite a bit of Half Life 2, and this all after having an enjoyable lasagna for dinner.

I woke up to pain and discomfort, I stumbled out of bed, had a drink of water and took two tylenol, and tried to get back to sleep quickly, but I was uncomfortable and in pain, so a lot of tossing and turning followed.

When I finally woke up at 8:30 when the alarm went off, I still had the migraine, it was very bad. I tried to eat breakfast but could only manage one bite of toast, one single bite, before feeling like I was just going to spew vomit all over the place, so I tried to eat an apple but it still didn't sit right, although it was easier to force myself to eat because it wasn't as dry as the toast, which helped. I ended up just putting it in a bag and bringing it to work with me.

When I got on the bus to work, I had this hot air vent blowing on my face and it just made me feel even worse, so bad, so gross, just wanted to puke and shoot myself in the head due to the headache.

Once I got to work, I told Julie how I felt, and she helped me sit down for a couple minutes (since I was early) and she got me a coffee, I ate my apple and eventually got to work with Tom. The only thing else I ate all day was a small bowl of strawberry yogurt with banana chunks in it ala Julie, and then about two thirds through my day I ate a semi-warm cheese quiche, that... while I'm sure was excellent really hot, was only passable luke-warm. It was full of flavor, and the chewyness of the cheese is awesome (the bocaccini is boss).

Today was pretty busy, we had a plated dinner for 81, a buffet for 21, another plated for 16, and also had to try and get as much ready for tomorrow as possible.

Tonight Jeff and I split on a cab home because... well, because if I don't cab home, it takes me almost an hour and a half to get home, and on a night where I have no time to do anything, giving up more time for transportation is less than desireable.

When I got home today, I warmed up lasagna from last night for dinner, I talked to my Mom for a bit, and just relaxed.

After dinner I saw Michelle was trying to input some data to create a quiz using my Quiz Test Plus system. I noticed a pattern right away, and anything repetitive task that follows a pattern can be automated by a computer, pretty much in any case. She had a text file of questions and answers, and every question had five answers every time, so I immediately thought that I could write a script that simply opens a text file and parses it for questions and answers, and so I spent an hour doing so. It was really easy, each question and each answer is on a new line, and it just reads it line by line. So I finished that, she clicked the button that imported the quiz and I think it saved everyone time! and I got to have some fun out of it! Woo!

After that, Michelle had a shower, and then I had a bath... I logged into World of Warcraft for about two minutes, just returned a couple quests on my level 78 Hunter, and then logged on my priest to say hi to everyone.

I took a sleeping pill, and then sat down to watch Live Free or Die Hard on bluray. I didn't mention - I don't think - that I purchased every Die Hard on bluray (Die Hard 1, 2, With a Vengeance and Live Free), and it was 29 bucks, such a good deal! I also bought six Harry Potter movies on bluray for $59, but I'm still waiting for that . I needed the Die Hard movies for when Ally comes over to put up the tree... so now I'm prepared.

I'm super tired right now, and watching the movie (Live Free or Die Hard) and just thinking about stuff. I'm almost too tired to keep awake, but I'll manage to through to the end of the movie I think.

I might add tags to the website... maybe. It would make it easier to find specific content in my entries.

Anyway, tomorrow is gonna suck (busy contenental, busy brunch, lunch buffet)... but I'm sure I'll get through it. Goodnight for now!
