Lazy Day
Oh, you want to hear about my super lazy day? Okay!
Well I guess it wasn't completely lazy, as I did make a nice dinner that required energy and uh... effort I guess. Minimal effort, but still.
I woke up late; Tidus got up, walked over and laid down on my back around 11:45am to let me know that he was ready for me to wake up for the day, and I took his kind advice and decided to finally get out of bed. I had a brocolli and cheddar omelette with toast and coffee for brunch, and it was yummy.
The majority of the afternoon was spent at the computer, listening to music, playing Plants vs. Zombies or leveling my characters in Final Fantasy 4. It was pretty relaxing, and it rained and I watched the rain as I listened to random music and played games, so it's a pretty good afternoon.
Around dinner time, I decided to make something of substance, as it had been weeks since I had, so I made BBQ chicken breasts, garlic mashed potatos, brocolii and cauliflower and Michelle and I watched Star Trek with dinner.
After dinner, Michelle and I played Tales of Symphonia, a game we stopped roughly half way through back in 2006/2007, and haven't played it since. We stopped due to the normal stuff, distractions by other games, shows, etc... it happens. Also, there are certain flaws in the game that makes it easy to stop playing, such as it's terrible writing, terrible voice acting, terrible puzzles and generally poor story, but, there is something charming about it, and even though we stopped so long ago, I was determined to pick it up and finish it. The game has a feature that whenever a key event happens, an entry is made in a log that describes it, so essentially every important thing that happened in the game is in a log. Michelle and I sat down for probably 20 minutes and read through all 73 entries, to refresh us on the story so far, and it actually worked for the most part, it brought back the memories of the game and put it back in context.
We played for awhile, ran into a few annoying things such as not being directed where to go ever, no matter what, you're just left to figure out where you are supposed to go via some form of telepathy. Overall, the combat is the fun part, and having it be a two player rpg is also fun, but I think I'll try to stick with it to the end, at least trying to play it twice or three times a week, with or without Michelle.
After we stopped playing Tales, I turned on the PS3 and started the latest update, it takes around 12 to 14 days to update, so I played Final Fantasy 4 while I waited, and eventually once the update was finished, I sat down and played Final Fantasy 13, which I started in December... I sat down and played for a few hours actually, and remembered just how awesome it was, and I had a lot of fun, and will be playing more tomorrow hopefully.
Now I'm just watching Jimmy Fallon, waiting to get tired. Overall, a good day.
