You Mirin The Gains Brah?
So last night when Kyle was at work closing, he found a wonderful calandar that had made it's way to underneath one of our prep tables, and thought it'd be a pretty awesome troll if he put it up with a nice note, which he did, and I lol'd pretty hard when I got to work this morning. I had to take a pic, and leave it up, because I knew that other people would get a kick out of it.
Work was pretty busy today, and the day didn't really get on my nerves or anything, but it did give me a headache. Julie had opened, so she was there when I got to work at 10am, and it was nice to work with her because it seems like it's been weeks since we've had a shift together. Even though she was stuck in the cafe for a lot of the time, we still had breakfast burritos together and generally it was a good morning.
I'm not going to go into much detail about the day, as it was a typical shift at work. We had two dinners, a plated dinner for 88, and a dinner buffet for 20. I started the day by making the wedding's cucumber ring salads, following by plating the wedding's raspberry chocolate cheesecakes. Afterward, I got the reception fare ready, and then did the vegetable bundles. Before I knew it, it was about time to begin plating (it was me, Kyle and Jeff) and we got the dinner out of the way pretty painlessly.
I got a ride home with Julieanne, after creating a list of all the stuff I have to do for brunch and buffets tomorrow. There is a lot of work to do tomorrow, but I'm pretty confident it will be a fairly painless day, and I have Monday off, so I can look forward to that all day, and focus on it, so even if the day sucks, there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
I just had a quick bath, because things just don't feel right if I don't, you know... and then, as normal, I put on Jimmy Fallon, and now I'm writing this. I will be going to sleep soon, probably within the next hour, and then I'll be going to work early. I hope it's not too bad, and I can't wait for a day off on Monday.
