In The Light of The Computer

Today - another good day - who would've thought? I mean... there were a few times where I didn't feel amazing; I felt a bit lazy, a bit tired, and a few times where I felt a tiny bit down, just for a minute, but overall the day was good, and ended up being pretty great.

I went to bed at a decent time last night, and woke up at around 9am this morning, meaning I had a good, normal amount of sleep. Normal as in other people normal, not like my normal... It must've been an eight or nine our sleep, and that's pretty damn awesome if you ask me. I woke up and had a nice breakfast... fuck that caffeine reduced diet bullshit, I made a coffee, scrambled eggs and ate them on a couple pieces of toast. I was pretty much wide awake and ready to begin my day... a day off mind you, and that's what I did.

I immediately started programming... working on my money stuff. I accomplished a lot, just relaxing and coding, listening to music (Alesana) and just enjoying my time. I coded for quite a while, finishing a significant portion of the repetitive coding, so now I'm working my way to be closer to actually being able to use the thing, inputting receipt information and generating reports displaying statistics on my spending habits. I'm excited for that portion of the project, and I'm almost there, so it's motivating me to keep working.

The original plan for the afternoon/evening was to make dinner for my Mom and then go see City and Colour at Centennial Hall but apparently the show was postponed until March 28th and I found out in the late afternoon, so plans changed to have Lindy, Chris and my Mom over, and then I contacted Bekki to have her come over as well, to celebrate Lindy's birthday. I had already planned on making dinner so I didn't want to just change plans... I had already started work on it... so the new plans worked out, and that's what was planned.

Throughout the day - it's also worth mentioning - I did a load of laundry and played Bioshock 2.

Before lunch I walked to the grocery store to buy the stuff I needed for the dinner, and also to grab something for lunch. I ended up buying a can of Campbell's Chunky chicken soup, and it was pretty good. I made a Mocha Chiffon Cake for dessert (from scratch thanks) and Sheppard's Pie with Broccoli and Cauliflower au gratin for dinner. We also drank a bit of wine, and everyone enjoyed dinner and dessert.

Afterward everyone took off and I put the place back together again, Bekki and I did the dishes and eventually decided to watch Seven. Bekki's not feeling that great, so she's kinda floating in and out of sleep on the other couch as I write this, and that's okay. I'd like her to watch this movie some time when she's awake and interested, and I'm sure that'll happen.

Tomorrow is kind of a busy day, but not in a bad way. I do hope there is some time to sit and play games or something, but as of right now, I'm going to a movie with Bekki in the afternoon (around 2ish) and then picking up some lamb at the superstore, and then coming home to make a nice dinner (yeah, that's right).

I feel as though I should have more to write but I think I'm about done. I feel bad because I think I drank too much caffeine today and I can kinda feel it in my system... ah well, good ol' relapses.
