I Give Thanks

I worked for fourteen hours yesterday, and I don't think it needs much more talking about than that. I started at 6am and worked until 8pm, and I was pretty ready to go home at that point. The strange or scary part is that I don't really remember going home, or anything about being at home. I was pretty out of it, sore, super tired, super undernourished. I had agreed to work the shift ahead of time, so it wasn't out of nowhere or anything, but it still hit me like a brick wall, and was quite a challenge.

Today I woke up feeling a bit rested, and went back to work from 7am to 3:30pm, and was glad to get home... kinda.

I am just sitting down now, for the first time, and it's 9pm. I got home and immediately started prepping the soup I'm making for thanksgiving tomorrow - butternut. So I peeled and chopped it, chopped some onion, threw it in a pot and put it on. After that I made dessert for the next day, which will be kept secret for now but it took about 45 minutes. After that I was pretty starving, so I put on dinner, which was spaghetti, and ate that. After I finished eating, I put on a load of laundry and once it washed and in the dryer, I did all of the dishes (which was a lot), swept and cleaned the litter, and that lead me to realizing that my night was almost over.

I ran a bath and tried to relax, clean the two days of work off of me. Once out of my bath, I sat in my towel and played Torchlight 2 for a few minutes while I air dried off, and quit, got in my pijamas and sat down to write and watch Boardwalk Empire. That leads me to 10pm and I'll read in bed for a few minutes, finish my chapter in Tony Danza's book, and go to sleep.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I work at 6am until around Noon I think (depends on Bekki and what I have to do) and then the family is coming over for me to cook a Thanksgiving dinner, which is the standard Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, etc. I am excited to see everyone and to eat a nice meal, so I look forward to tomorrow. I'm predicting it to be a stress-free day of work because it's just Bekki and myself there, and we work well together.

Time to enjoy some Boardwalk Empire!
