Time Moves On
I'm sure I've told the story before but it has consistently popped into my head my entire life.
I was probably somewhere between 9 and 11 years old or so, and I was riding the subway in Toronto with my Dad. I remember doing some thinking, as a 9 year old would, and I remember asking him, "Do you ever wonder what it's like to see through someone else's eyes?"
That's a pretty deep, philisophical question, maybe even a milestone of development when a growing child realizes that they're not the center of the universe. Sparking a conversation about relating to others, the human experience, etc.
His response was, "You don't see out your eyes, light goes into your eyes."
