Wine Makes Migraines
It's not news to say that wine gives me migraines. It's not 100% chance though, so there is always a chance I won't get a headache at all. Last night was not one of those lucky times. We did a tasting flight of four Sauvignon Blanc wines (Legends, Meldville, Toros and a New Zealand), and we didn't drink tons or anything, just half a glass from each probably, split between us, and my head was hurting by the time I went to bed, and was a full blown migraine by the time I woke up.
I was couch/bed bound for the first hour and a half of the day, waiting for a valuable and running-out migraine pill to work. Not the best way to start the day, and now that my pills are running out, I need to be more careful and try my best not to get migraines so I don't run out.
Had my team meetings at work, worked pretty much on my own for most of the day. For lunch I had an asparagus and brie omlette, and then I walked and played Final Fantasy 3.
After work, Bekki's Dad came over for swimming. He drove over while Jensen, Bekki and I walked to get Ollie from daycare. Once we got home, I vacuumed the pool, got out the stupid maple keys that had accumulated on the surface. I put off starting dinner so I could swim for a bit, cause it was really hot today. It was nice to get in the water and relax for a bit, see the kids and cool down. After about ten minutes, I got out and made dinner.
For dinner I made bbq chicken breast, with sliced baby gem potatoes, sliced and tossed in seasoning and green onions, with grilled asparagus, mushrooms and zucchni. The chicken ended up being disgusting, and pretty much ruined the meal. It was so tough that my super sharp chefs knife could not properly cut through it. I had to throw one breast out completely, and the rest were not much better. I had a small glass of Legends sauvignon blanc reserve with dinner, and I didn't get a headache.
After bedtime with the kids, I played some Dark Souls 2, made some progress. I explored a new area and beat a couple bosses - lots of fun. I finished up and put on TNG, and started writing. I'll be going to bed as soon as it's over, and hopefully wake up and feel rested in the morning.
