Excessive

I've been pretty happy lately playing a lot of Super Metroid. Emily is also playing through the game so I get to watch her, which is fun in it's own way. Emily, at one point, told me to sit down and play through the game from start to finish in under 2 hours. So I did. I finished the game with 1 hour and 33 minutes on the clock. So, along with that game, I also have my more 'serious' game, which I'm attempting to collect 100% of the items, and just take my time... since I rushed through so quickly before.

Also, a few days ago Owen slept over, and started playing through Metroid Prime, for the gamecube, and that got me interesting in playing through it again, but this time I'm doing it on Hard, since before I finished it on normal. It definitley captures the metroid feel, something no other series of games can do. I'm not playing prime as much as Super Metroid, but that's only because most of my actual genuine console gaming has been focused on Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door. Paper Mario surprised me with a wondeful playthrough. The game features wondeful graphics, which are hardly seen these days, and just the general feel of the game is refreshing, playful and energetic, which is.. well.. refreshing! It's FUN to play! Something a lot of games forget to add in.

*sigh* i love losing myself in games...
