Dude, That was TNT
Wednesday at work was long, boring and uneventful... I almost lost my mind and went nuts, but luckily Jeff usually keeps me company, complaining about the customers that call him, and I brose the gamespy message board so much I could probably recite the whole board off by heart. I got like... 8 calls in an 8 hour shift.. *sigh*
After work I had to wait an hour for the 11 Southcrest, so while I waited I sat on the corner of Dundas and Richmond and watched the squeegie girl that I always see, and I ate chicken nuggets cause I hadn't eaten supper yet... eventually the bus came and I managed to find Michelles house, after walking around for a bit not knowing where I was going.. directions woulda kicked ass but meh.. I found it.
The next day everyone left pretty early, and Emily and I hung out for a bit, doing random things, until it was time I had to leave to go to work, and Michelle hooked me up with lunch food so I wouldn't die at work.. woot. Work lasted from 1pm to 9pm.. *sigh* *input typical 'what i did at work' paragaph here* After work I caught the bus home, running into Dave like I always do, and I got home and pretty much slept instantly.
Yesterday I woke early, around 10:00am like I seem to be doing all the time now, and it was the day JJ was coming! Wooh! JJ has come to stay with us until next Tuesday and it's awesome! I loves the JJ. We laugh, and joke, and smile and I loves her! Last night after work, we (being Emily, myself and JJ) went to see Anchorman (for me it was the third time!) and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first two, and JJ loved it too. I got a huge migrane through, during the movie... and I could barely keep my eyes open because the sight of anything hurt me even more, and sounds hurt and I couldn't stand up cause of how dizzy I was and I was near tears and it hurt... When I got home, I took a Migrane pill, laid down and forced myself to sleep because it hurt too much. While I slept, Emily dyed JJ's hair aaand... I don't know what else they did or what time they went to bed, but they were sleeping when I woke up this morning, so they didn't run away!
Not sure what the plans are for today, but whatever they are, I just want to relax. I never get to be at home anymore, so I just want to stay in and play games or something... working five days a week sucks when it comes to hobbies. Speaking of hobbies, there have been some great gaming news happening... mostly games being completed and almost shipped:
Doom 3 was released The long awaited Doom 3 was released to glowing reviews from both gaming sites and players, most of which praise it's groundbreaking graphics and simple yet fun gameplay. I do plan on buying this for PC (maybe Xbox) eventually, but not before I buy others.
The Sims 2 went gold! The Simis 2 is the followup to the most popular PC game in history and from the look of it, there are tons of new things to draw in new players, as well as bring back the regulars. Reading some reviews of this game actually made me want to buy it and play it, which is scary considering how against the first one I am.. hehe.. but really, the second one looks to have added so much depth that it would actually be interesting and worthwhile to play through it.
Fable went gold!!!!! YAY!!! This game gives me orgasms.. what? Yes! Fable went gold! September 14th is the day they expect it to be released and I'll be right at the store on that date to buy it. I'm so excited for this game, it's unbelieveable. I can't wait.. it's already got a review of 93%.
Half Life 2 went gold Meh.. I never really played the first Half Life, so the announcement of the completion of the second doesn't really do anything for me. I won't buy it, probably won't play it... I know a lot of people are excited about this though, so I guess that's cool. This game was one of the longest in development, almost tying with Doom 3.
