Ho Ho Ho

Wow, Christmas didn't totally suck this year! I know.. I know kids.. it's amazing! There's also something else really strange going on... I'm in a good mood! HOLY CRAP says I! Where shall I start... let's see...

I just got out of an awesome bath. I had candles lit, incense burning (strawberry), brand new bubble bath in the water (strawberry), Marle on the toilet seat, Tidus on the mat, and a nice, hot, extremely full bath. It was mighty relaxing and calming... I shaved, washed myself down, used my awesome smelling Fructus Shampoo and Conditioner (that's right, it smells like fruit!), and just spent a bit of time submerged underwater. It put me in a pretty good mood and for some reason made me want to update my website, which is why I'm writing right now. You see, I had just finished playing a lengthy game of Halo, and Linzie was sleeping on the couch, so I thought I might as well go have a bath to get in 'relaxation mode' for the night... I need a bath or I just wouldn't be able to wind down and get to sleep ya know.

So on Christmas Eve Eve, December 23rd, the Tuesday I believe, Linzie and I exchanged presents as we wouldn't be able to be together on Christmas Eve when my family (will get to it later) was coming over to do our exchanging of gifts, and we wouldn't really have time to enjoy ourselves Christmas morning because I had to get up and get ready to go to Hamilton pretty quickly (will also get to it later!... calm down!). So, I had gotten not many gifts for Linzie, but they all had meaning... they all meant something special, even if she couldn't or can't see it, I was happy with what I had gotten her. Oooh, but I can't spoil it for you, you'll just have to wait for her to update HER journal to see what I got her!! Oooh, aren't I a bastard! Anyway, as for what she got me, I had given her some money (about $100) to just spend on gifts for Christmas, because even though it was my money, the thoughts and the ideas were still coming from her, and I dunno, I just knew getting a fair amount of presents would put me in a good mood and stop me from being depressed; which worked by the way. She got me... Final Fantasy: Anthology and Jax and Daxter (I told her I wanted these, and they are also what started the idea of giving money for gifts, so I knew what these were before I opened them), a huge black and white AFI poster which is awesome and will go up in the one blank spot on my wall; a Timmy patch from My Fairy God Parents, wihch I'll most likely either sew onto my coat or my laptop case, I'm not sure yet, it depends on which one it'll be easier to get on and most likely to stay attatched. She also got me posable mini X-Men figures, that look like Lego Men, but a bit bigger.. They're cool but they seem to fall apart rather easily... but I like collecting stuff like that, and I like the X-Men comics a lot, so I appreciate it a lot. Hmmm, what else... ooh, perhaps the greatest gift ever withnessed by mankind... The Tenacious D, Masterpiece Collections 2 Disc DVD!!!! Holy crap it's awesome. I love the D... I love them sooo much. I think I'll bake them a cake! (go GIR!). And I believe that's it, but wow, it was exciting and fun and just great the open it and react to the gifts and see her reactions to my reactions. She hugged me lots those few minutes!

So after we had opened presents, we both wanted some snack food to eat while we watched a movie, so we went to the mall, went to EB first just to browse, and we talked to Rob for probably about a half hour or so, and I learned that the X-BOX went down in price, and Rob gives me the employee discount on all the games I buy, so I bought an X-BOX for myself for Christmas, as well as Halo and Price of Persia: The Sands of Time, and the system also came with Star Wars: Clone Wars and Tetris Worlds as well as two months of X-Box Live!. So, as you could probably imagine, I was super excited to play and it's pretty much what I've spent the majority of my free time doing. I've been playing Halo more than anything, but Prince of Persia is amazing, just some of the puzzles are really confusing, and for some reason I don't feel up to figuring them out right now (probably because I'm hella tired). So now, I just want to get Voodoo Vince (probably when I get paid next) and then I'll have a nice collection of games. So yeah, that's some excited news.. and yes, I now own all the next-gen consoles (X-Box, Gamecube and PS2).

So Christmas Eve day, I slept until 3:50pm, at which time I woke up, looked up at the clock and noticed I had to be to work in five minutes... so I got up and got dressed as fast as humanly possible, called work and said I'd be late, ran out and caught the bus... I was only about five or ten minutes late, so that was alright. It was actually really busy at work, we had Aaron, Julia, Liz, myself and Rob all working and we were all busy! I got to see Linzie when she came to pick up a pizza for her dad.. and that was the only time I got to see her that day, which sucked, and her Mom gave me a present over the counter for my christmas, so I put it at the back and forgot it there... and it's still sitting there waiting for me to open it.. I'm interested in finding out what she got me... as long as it's not a bible or something, I'm good to go. So my Mom came and picked me up from work, and we went back to my place to eat dinner with Lindy, Dustin, Mom and myself, and exchange presents. We had a good lasagne which we consumed rather quickly... and then we traded gifts. This was the only time I felt depressed. We all agreed to spend twenty dollars on each other, so I went out and bought my Mom a nice globe and my sister and Dustin a ham dinner, with potatos, buns, beans and corn and all that, so they each had the one gift... but they got me like ten gifts each and I had all these things to open and they just had these pathetic, unwrapped gift, and I just felt so stupid... but I guess it passed quickly and everything, I just try not to think about it. I got lots of cool little things, like cat figurines, some conditioner, deoderant, forks, cloths, incense, a nice dish to put my pasta in and lots of other stuff.. it made me really happy. Everyone left at around 9:00pm or so, and then it was just Ben and I.

Last night was the last night Ben and I had to game together for a while because he's leaving for Arizona tomorrow, and went home today, so we played until... 9:00am.. yeah, seems a bit much, but it was fun and I wasn't tired... but I guess I regretted it because I had to get up at 10:30 or so.. HOLY CRAP!!! I was tired today... but anyway, I have the apartment to myself for a long while, which will be different. I'll probably keep it clean, if I can get it to that point in the first place.

So today, Linzie, Lindy, my Mom and Myself all went to Hamilton to visit my grandpa, and we had a nice visit with Norm and Christine, and had a good Turkey dinner, and I brought my laptop and watched the Tenacious D DVD on the way there, and listened to Sparta (and slept mostly) on the way back. and so here I am, nice and relaxed after my bath, Linzie sleeping on the couch and I guess that leaves us up to date. I hope everyone reading this had a merry christmas and all that, because for once, I actually had a holiday worth remembering.
