Overheating

Today turned out to be a pretty good day, generally, and it was a refreshing change of pace.

The day didn't start off to well, I slept in and had to take a cab to work, this being the second time or maybe third this work week, which is costing me a lot (close to $60). I knew going in to work that the day had potention to be relaxing and a good day, and it actually turned out to be that way.

Jon was back from a two week vacation, so getting to work with him was pretty sweet. I spent the entire day just doing prep and getting things done that we usually have to run around and do on normal days. I made tomato sauce, meat sauce, bechamel, butternut and pear soup, cooked two types of pasta and got most of tomorrows functions done, so tomorrow should be pretty easy too.

I stopped on the way home to get some food, because I had to stop in at the bank to deposite a cheque, and ended up picking up a bit more than I had expected, and getting home was very annoying. Heavy bags, no where to put them, no where to sit... it was very annoying. Because of the stop at the grocery store, it took me over an hour and a half to get home. Julie had called and asked if I wanted to go to a BBQ with her, Mel and Darren, but I said no because I had gone to so much trouble to get food for my dinner, I wanted to enjoy it, so I passed.

After dinner, I played another level of Far Cry, and then played a little bit of Magicka with Kyle, before my laptop had an emergency shut down due to possible overheating. Apparently it got a bit too hot, and this has me concerned, as now I'm worried the fan isn't working or something, because that's never happened before. Ah well, another thing to worry about I suppose...

Work tomorrow should be decent and then I finally get a day off. I hope tomorrow is as enjoyable as today was, although I could do without the headache and the worrying about the laptop.

I'm just eating some chicken noodle soup and watching the Shield, and then I'll be going to sleep, hopefully not sleeping in.
