With These Thoughts
I have to say I am rather... not sure what the word I should use here, but I just wish I had more time. I'm sitting here, just getting into some programming stuff... theory, and trying to figure out some things, and I know that it's getting late and I have to go to sleep soon, so I really don't have time to mess around with stuff. Kinda makes me sad really... anyway, my idea was to just make a basic website where I can come home from work, put in the hours I worked that day, and it would simply keep track of my shifts, so I can ensure I'm not getting ripped off. I'm trying to plan it out, make it well made so that it could be easily expanded on with minimal work, and I think I've made a bit of progress.
My day was pretty good I guess, nothing horrible happened, and I suppose that's an improvement over the last week or so. I opened, so I went in for 7am with the use of a cab, and put out the continental breakfast, then made hollandaise (which was good!) and spent until 10am getting brunch ready and out. Tom came in at 9am and helped me out by doing the cheese platters, the croquembouche and mousse, and we got everything out on time, no problem, and that felt great.
Kyle came in at 10am and carved in the cafe, Tom prepped for tomorrow by getting breakfast and some lunches ready, and I made some potato salad and pasta salad, and spent a lot of time replenishing brunch, eventually Tom and I cleaned the fridges and before you knew it, it was 2pm and time to break down brunch. Tom and I helped Mario bring it over, we put it away quickly, and then left.
Laura was waiting in the circle for Tom, and I hitched a ride as well, and had them take me to the grocery store, because I don't usually have any free time and I figured it was a good opportunity to grab a few things so I don't go crazy or get depressed because I don't have anything to eat or snack on. I bought about $50 worth of stuff, mainly some veggies for dinners (if I ever get the chance to eat any) and some desserts, and some cat food.
After I got home, I was really hungry but it was still only around 4pm, so I decided to just have a snack and work on some homework, which I did until about 6:30pm. I was getting super frustrated because something simple wasn't working the way it was supposed to, and I was getting pretty pissed. Eventually I got it working though, so all is well. After I finished that work, I made some spaghetti for dinner, and watch an episode of Star Trek: TNG. Eventually I started planning this time tracking script idea, and did that for a little while until I decided to play Disgaea 4 for a bit, which was super fun... I try not to think about how I never have time to play anything, because that game really does relax me and make me excited and enjoy myself, but I pretty much can only play it like.. twice a week or something, so I try not to think about that.
At around 10:00pm, I ran a bath and listened to the Morning Stream, eventually drying off and deciding to watch the season premier of Boardwalk Empire, which just finished, and it was great. I can't wait to see more, and will continue to look forward to Sunday's in the future.
I should go to sleep soon, but I'm not ready yet... I may screw around a bit more with programming, but I'm sure I'll go to sleep soon, I have school tomorrow at 9am, so I can't stay up or sleep in too late.
