Distress

I can't think! My head hurts... it's pounding and walking around the house hurts, and moving hurts, and yeah, I'm complaining.. so what? It's messing with my mind, I can't think right, I keep thinking in circles and I can't solve simple problems. I wanted to work on that work/timestamp site I was planning but kept being stumped by small problems, or just by the fact that I couldn't really think straight, so I eventually gave up, sadly... as I really wanted to work on it, I just thought it would be fun.

Work was pretty brutal today, and I can think of a lot of other things I would've enjoyed doing, but I guess I got through it okay, and I even got to leave an hour early, so I suppose that was good. I left for work around 1pm, as I started at 2pm, and around downtown, the street was blocked off by a police van, so it had to take a detour and let me out at King and Richmond, so I had to walk a bit extra up to catch the Wellington, but it didn't really effect much at all. Once I got to work, I started work on the dinner, as there was a brutally large plating for 112 people, with annoying as shit food that is prep intensive, rather than just easy shit. I made 112 cucumber ring salads, and then 112 white and dark chocolate mousse in martini glasses, with a mint and strawberry garnish.

The day did go by quickly I guess, but there were countless problems and inconveniences, it almost feels like someone is playing an elaborate joke on us. Ran out of cucumbers, had no cherry tomatoes, ran out of dark chocolate mousse, had no white chocolate, the prime rib wasn't warmed through, we had no garnish for the plates... and it goes on and on. It just adds stress and frustrations to any already stressful and frustrating situation.

After dinner went out, Jon and I got tomorrow's events prepped and then got out of there at 9pm, where his wife Carly gave me a ride home, but I had forgotten my keys because I didn't wear my coat that day, and I guess I was kind of out of it when I left, and it was pouring out, so I had to climb on to the roof and climb in through the window to get in, which sucked but... guess it works.

Once home, I watched Jimmy and ate a lasagna, and eventually had a bath at around 10:30pm. Afterward I tried to do some programming but felt like a retard, so I stopped, turned on Star Trek: TNG and started writing.

Tomorrow I've got school at 9am, so I have to wake up around 7am, and then I've got my only day off of work this week, so I may clean and do the laundry and then blow my brains out. We'll see if I have time...
