It's Tricky

I've been playing SSX a lot.

SSX is a series of games where you do over the top tricks on a snowboard as you go down semi-realistic mountains and try to set times and high scores, while upgrading and improving your character (or set of characters). The first SSX I played was SSX Tricky for the original xbox and I was impressed... I found it addictive and enjoyable, not the greatest game ever but it was fun. I liked it enough to buy SSX 3 a little while afterward, and it was amazing. SSX 3 was one of the greatest games on the xbox and of it's generation, and I played the crap out of it, so much so that I mastered and unlocked everything.. the soundtrack was amazing, and everything about it was awesome. Afterward, a new entry came out in the series, SSX On Tour... they went a tiny bit of a different direction, and focused more on individual events and creating your own character, but they hit the nail on the head again and I became equally obsessed with the game. I played the shit out of it, completely beating all aspects of it.

The latest SSX is really good so far, although the single player campaign feels a bit weak so far, but the Explore mode is a lot of fun, trying to set high scores and best times and also competing against people on your friends list. I'll write more about the game as I play it more, but so far it's awesome, and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm having trouble writing, as you may tell... this is actually a few hours later, at..

-12:54am-

I'll write about today. This is something I should be able to do.

I woke up at 8:30am, the intention was to make a nice breakfast for Bekki before she had to leave for school, which I did... I made a nice breakfast. I made a broccoli, cheddar and shallot omelette, with bacon, potato pancakes and toast, with coffee of course, and we enjoyed this while slowly waking up. Bekkidy didn't end up going to class, so we really didn't need to be awake so early, and I kinda wish I could've slept in a bit more; I feel as though my lack of sleep lately has been driving me slowly insane: more than normal.

After breakfast I played a bunch of SSX... there really isn't much more to expand on this, I sat on the couch and played. Eventually we walked quite a distance in the freezing cold to the post office over on Springbank, to pick up my Song of Ice and Fire books. The walk itself was nice, but the cold was not... if it was just a bit warmer, it would've been a wonderful experience. We browsed Giant Tiger and looked around a bit while we were over there, and eventually made our way back home just in time for me to begin getting dinner ready.

I made breaded pork tenderloin with sidekicks and veggies.. a simple but tasty dinner. We watched an episode of Game of Thrones while we ate and had dessert, and eventually Bekki had to leave to go home, which sucked. I was, or.. well... I'm in a weird mood. I still am, although perhaps my tiredness is helping relieve it, but I feel crazy, and chaotic and hyper. I took a sleeping pill and I'm now waiting for it to take effect.

Tomorrow will seem quite busy to me I'm sure, as I'm going out, and I would like to clean the apartment, so it should keep me busy, but maybe that's nice. I don't fucking know to be honest, sometimes I think I need boring, eventless time at home, and other times I think keeping busy is good for me... I just don't know. I'm going to the mall to go shopping... however, I'm not sure if I'll personally be buying anything, but I will be keeping my eyes open for pants as well as any good deals at Zellers.

As you can probably tell, tomorrow is a day off for me again, and I go back to work on Wednesday at 9am, so... hope tomorrow is uplifting and sane feeling. That would be awesome.
