Unprofessional
Today wasn't so bad, although it started off feeling pretty dreadful. I was tired and grumpy, and all I wanted was to be at home in bed, but no, I was at work, it was dark out still and I was working away at getting breakfasts and lunches ready. The day went by fairly quickly and I accomplished a lot... it's funny how short an eight hour shift feels when I'm so used to working nine or ten hour shifts regularly.
Work was over before I knew it, Bekki came and got me from work, we came home and I put on some dinner. I cooked a big batch of turkey soup for Bekki with a grilled cheese, and I had macaroni tuna casserol with cauliflower and carrots for myself, which was good, although I over-salted it a bit.
Bekki had to leave for work, so I finished my dinner and had some dessert and played Torchlight 2 for a bit. I eventually stopped, after about an hour or an hour and a half of playing, I did the dishes, read a chapter of Under Wildwood, and then sat down to watch an episode of Doctor Who.
I'm going to have a bath afterward, and then watch last weeks Boardwalk Empire, and then go to sleep.
I work tomorrow from 6am to 2pm, and it should be a similar day to today.
Oh, and a giant annoyance... the townhouse property management people had been calling Windermere Manor all day trying to confirm our employment there, and the accountant is on vacation and Windermere didn't set up a replacement or any kind of referral. She kept getting an answering machine, and talked to front desk but they didn't even say anything. So our application is on hold until they can talk to someone, and now Bekki is going to call with someone else's number, but this entire hassle could've been avoided if Windermere was run like a real company... you know, if you go on vacation, you set up a voicemail saying you are on vacation with an alternate extension if it's important. If we don't get this townhouse because Windermere was fucking retarded, I'm going to be so god damn pissed off.
