Amphibian Is A Funny Word

I had to go to the dentist today, and you know how much I hate the dentist. Well, it's not so much that I hate the dentist, it's just I hate how my mouth feels when I go to the dentist. It was just a cleaning though, so nothing too too scary.

I started my day like normal, a little bit less anxious then the previous day or two, feeling slightly more normal. I had peanut butter toast and coffee for breakfast before heading to work. The day before it was around 14 degrees and beautifully sunny, and this morning there was snow on the driveway and it was freezing.

At around 11:45am, I got my walking shoes on and walked to the dentist. I arrived about fifteen minutes early (I guess it takes less time to walk there than I thought) but I didn't have to wait for that long. I went in, the nice hygenist put the gum freezing stuff on my gums, and cleaned my teeth. It wasn't too bad, although there were a few painful moments. .The worst is now. It's around 8:30pm now, and even taking of a sip of room tempurature water sends intense pain up my right canine tooth, and oh god it's uncomfortable.

After the denist, I wanted to go for my normal walk, since my lunch was taken up by going to the dentist, but I had the bag of free stuff the dentist gave me, plus I had some discomfort in my mouth, and it was around 12:45pm, so I decided to just walk back to work and eat lunch.

Work was pretty good today, I finished up some work I had been working on since Monday. I completely redid the reporting aspect of our main  project. I integrated it closely into Google Analytics and made some real pretty graphs, creating some classes that I really think I can re-use in the future, which is nice. I feel good about my work and I created a bunch of tests to ensure it keeps working even as changes are made in the future.

For dinner we had a Restauranti (or however you spell it) pizza. One of them fancy thin crust semi-healthy pizzas. We had our favorite variety, the mozerella pesto kind. It's pretty good! We also had a couple garlic stuffed olives and a few chunks of Isle of Man cheddar.

After dinner I watched some Deep Space Nine and did some light programming to keep occupied. At around 7:45pm, I had a hot bath, and now, after the bath, Bekki and I are watching the BBC Life documentary series, the second episode, and probably the third one. It's pretty fun to watch, and really crazy amazing things are shown and explained.

It's also grocery list making night, so I gotta do that before I get too tired. While it can be difficult and even frustrating sometimes, it's also a kind of relaxing. Maybe I'll make some toast with honey, have a big ol' glass of orange juice and make the grocery list. Seems like a pretty perfect night if I had to think of one.

I've got the wife, the puppy, the TV, the honey toast (soon)... I think I'm good.

Oh yeah, and I wrote every day this week! That's pretty good right?? I'm trying to write more, and while I wasn't able to write a whole lot some of the days, just managing to get something written down each day was worth the effort. I hope to keep the momentum up, and keep writing. It's so interesting keeping a written history of life, I can't stoop now.
