Mighty Mouse?

Today went along well I suppose, although as I discussed with Allyhip, it was generally just a blah day, full of nothingness; just sort of floating through it numb and unaware.

I got my mouse replaced, but I had to yell at the girl about it. She obviously had no idea what she was doing, she tries bringing me to apples website, she was looking at the wrong type of Mac, looking at mouse troubleshooting... I'm like... the mouse works, the scroll ball just got dirty and no longer scrolls down! Then she asked me to come behind the counter and create an account on apples website and I said, "uh.. how about now? If I go through apple to get this mouse replaced, that means when that one breaks, I can't bring it to Futureshop and have it looked at, because I didn't get it through you, and I'd have to wait a lot longer." I was pretty fed up at that point, and she called over a computer person, they looked at the mouse, left for a second, and came back with a brand new one, handed it to me, and that was that. Hmph... if I hadn't stood up for myself, I would've been waiting three to four weeks for another mouse. I know it'll probably break again within two weeks, as I checked the apple store and everyone is having the same problem with it... it gets dirty and no longer scrolls downward, but aparently cleaning it with alchohol will fix the issue, so I'll give it a shot next time.

For lunch I had Burger King with my Sister and my Mom, and it was enjoyable. Burger King is pretty good in moderation, and it's always enjoyable to spend time with my family, so it was a nice time. On the way home, we stopped by A&P so I could grab a box of kitty litter, which I did, and then off to home I went.

The time afterward I spent finishing up the alpha of Project Tikymar, a project specifically created for Mark, but it's going to be molded into the site design and will actually be pretty useful for everyone, and pretty cool. I'm giving Mark and myself a few days to play around with it to see if it works the way it's supposed to, and for us to come up with any ideas we'd have for it, and I've got to finish a few of the aspects of it before I let everyone use it, but it's working well so far, and I'm actually pretty excited about showing it to everyone, as it was so simple to create and such a simple idea, but so useful and practical. I won't go into much detail, but it's basically an area where you can store a list of bookmarks online, so you can have them no matter what computer you're on. To go with that, other users can browse the bookmarks you set to public, so you can share interesting or valueable websites, and on top of that, you can set certain bookmarks to appear on the main menu (look to your left) under a Links heading, so you don't even have to navigate anywhere extra, your most used links will be right on the front page, unique to every user. Obviously, this feature is only available to users with an account, and users who are not logged in won't even have access to the page... sorry, but I hate you.

Michelle came over pretty late today, but with her she brought stuff! She got a full length mirror from... uhh.. a fancy store.. (or the side of the road, whichever sounds classier), and a few things from the dollarstore. It made the evening feel... light.. I guess (in a good way); something felt nice and innocent tonight, and I don't feel good like that very often.

We spent the last little while watching TV shows... we watched yesterdays The Office, becuase she missed it, and then she watched an episode of Family Guy while I had a bath, and then we watched a few episodes of Robot Chicken, and now she's asleep, and I'm writing this, waiting for Conan to come on. I was going to make popcorn to eat while watching, but I don't think I'd eat very much of it, as I'm pretty tired, so I think I might just eat a small bowl of chips instead (exciting, I know).

I've got sharp, headachesque pains going through the right side of my brain and my eyes keep going really blurry, so I think I'm going to finish this up, and lay down to watch Conan. Tomorrow I'll post a couple of pictures of myself I took today (calm down everyone!) and probably write a couple more entries as per usual. Have a good night everyone, try to get some rest.
