Recap of the Day

It's just about 5:00am and I really should be tired, and in fact I really wish I was tired, although I'm stubborn and have refused thusfar to take a sleeping pill, mostly out of spite because last night I took one and slept until 4:30pm, and nothing like sleeping until that late can piss me off more. I guess I could take one and just hope that I don't sleep way too late for my own mental health.

As I mentioned yesterday, I completed Kingdom Hearts 2 (100% completed) so that leaves me with somewhat of an empty place in my days and nights, so I've been considering what to do next with my time, whether it be to do with games, programming or web development, or something else, I basically spent my waking hours today trying to figure that out. I went from... thing to thing today, seeing if anything really drew me in. I played Paper Mario a bit, gathering about 50 experience (I get 1 exp per fight, no matter what... it takes forever) as I am determined to finish the game, no matter what. I know that I have to get a bit stronger, by getting up a few levels, and so that's what I'm in the process of, although it's an extremely boring process. With that in mind, I simply play for a half hour at a time, twice a day, and eventually I'll be strong enough to finish the game. I've also got Metroid Prime 2: Echoes on the go, and I'm just about halfway through that game, and I'm about halfway through Metroid Prime 1 on the hard difficulty, so I have a few games I can continue on and try to finish, as well as a solid lineup of games I have yet to start, specifically Radiata Stories, which I'm determined to play through soon (I bought it at the same time as Kingdom Hearts 2) and I also plan on attempting to play through Tales of Symphonia (third attempt at a start) but this time play it with Michelle, as us playing it together will give more motivation to continue on with it.

I've also been planning out some basic ideas for a movie cataloging application (web based) so I can keep track of the movies I've burned to DVD, as well as store in depth information on each. I wrote up some plans in OmniGraffle, and I've got the basic ideas in my head, but it's been quite a bit since I've developed anything, that it would take awhile to get back into the swing of things, and I dunno if I can do it right now.

Also, as I mentioned earlier tonight, I've got a working RSS 2.0 Feed for Excessive Rambling online, and it is available from both the address bar, and the RSS Feed link on the left menu. It took me about ten minutes to create, although took a bit of trial and error to get to that point. I can thank Cam for giving me the motivation to create it, as well as my recent interest in RSS Feeds since I discovered Vierra.

I'm currently watching Jurassic Park in a window on half my screen, in an attempt to relax and get tired, and I think I'll take a sleeping pill and watch the rest via Front Row.

I suppose I didn't feel quite as crappy today as I have recently, but the bit of down I felt was most likely due to my late sleep. I guess I'm alright for now, so woohoo for that!

Wednesday Mark and I plan to have a few predrinks, and then head to wherever Steve is DJing for a bit of fun. Anyone interested in tagging along for some fun, let us know! It's Mark's birthday, so we're gonna try to get quite a few people to go! Leave a comment, send an email, or contact us over MSN.
