Don't Stop Breathing

I think I'm addicted to Radiohead album OK Computer. I can't stop listening to it, and while it's nothing new, I mean, I've listened to it for years, but just recently I've gone on a bit of Radiohead kick. I rotate between listening to OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail To The Thief, and a bit less frequently I listen to In Rainbows and King of Limbs.

I fell asleep very quickly last night, and had no trouble staying asleep. I'm pretty sure I slept straight through to my alarm, which was kind of disappointing honestly, as there's nothing more depressing than waking up, feeling super tired and thus thinking it's only the middle of the night, but rolling over to find it's time to get up. I was still tired... I was still very tired, but the pain was gone. The aches and headache from drinking and being so exhausted has left and I was just normal tired. I woke up and had some coffee and toast as I got ready for work, called a cab and left by 6:45am.

I worked from 7am to 4pm, and it was a pretty standard Sunday. Continental, brunch and an afternoon gala, it went smoothly and we were always a step ahead, so that's nice. There isn't too much to say about the day of work, only that I got continental and brunch out, only had to replenish for a bit before Matt arrived at Noon and took over on that duty, so Kyle did the hors for the gala and I did the platters, and that was out before we knew it. I spent the rest of the time getting the breakfast ready for the next day, and cleaning up.

After work, Julie, Connor and I drove to my house and hung out for about an hour and had a beer, just talked and listened to Elliot Brood, They took off around 6pm, and I finished up my client/server homework and submitted it to the dropbox (as it was due at 8pm) and moved on to start and finish this one assignment... a short report or something, it was supposed to be due tomorrow, and it was supposed to be 1.5 to 3 pages in length, but when I went online to that class's page, the prof had posted an update saying that it was due on Thursday now, so I could rest my tired ass tonight and not freak out over some paper. When I discovored that I didn't have to stay up and do that lame paper, I collected the garbage and recycling and took it to the curb, and did all the dishes and then warmed my leftover spaghetti from the night before, and sat and ate dinner while watching Saturday Night Live from last night.

After dinner, I had a coffee and finished watching SNL, but at some point I fell asleep sitting up... like, actually just sitting up on the couch I fell asleep in the middle of the show. I woke up and had like, drool on my mouth and I was so confused. It left me feeling kind of groggy and shitty, but I moved to the computer and talked with people for a bit, listened to music... I finally found Radiohead's performance of Idioteque on SNL from 2000, stole the flash, converted it to a movie file, and then uploaded it to youtube, so for now it's on youtube, but if NBC finds it, they'll take it off. Also, I discovered an album by Amanda Palmer of seven Radiohead covers, which I was really impressed with. She offered the album at a "you pay what you want" price, so I paid seven bucks, a dollar per song, and downloaded it. It's really, really good.

I eventually had a bath, not a very long one, but enough to warm me up and make me feel a bit more ready for bed. Afterward I sat down and watched Boardwalk Empire and started writing... now it's over, and I'm just about done writing, so I'll most likely be heading to bed shortly.

I've got school tomorrow at 9am, and no work, so I plan on maybe walking to the grocery store for a few things and doing some laundry, I'm hoping that it's a good day and I'm in a good mood. I could use a day like that...
