The Winter Comes At Last

I taste your kiss... it tastes like snow, The winter comes at last.

Alright so I somehow managed to stay up until 3am when earlier in the night... around 11:00pm, I could've fallen asleep in my chair. I don't know exactly how that always happens, but it does. Work was weird, I felt strange, obviously... I had a lot of drugs running through my system, and even the freezing they give me makes me feel funny, tired, strange.

The dentist went okay... I mean, I'm pretty out of it when I'm there. I had to get many needles, all in that really uncomfortable part of the mouth... the back jaw, with the giant needles that take like five seconds to get all the way in... it was painful and uncomfortable, and I had to get four or five overall. He worked on four teeth I believe, but with the combination of the painkillers and Xanax, plus the freezing, it wasn't too bad, and when I was done, I felt okay I guess. I don't remember too much of it, but I suppose that proves that it wasn't too bad.

Julie came and got me from the dentist to drive me to work, and I had her and Jon give me small jobs to do when I started because I was having trouble thinking and focusing, so I needed easy straight forward things to do. All that shit really fucked with my head though, because I felt out of place, like, not... not good. I didn't recognize the kitchen and I didn't feel like myself, and everything was wrong and weird and it kinda freaked me out. We had a strange event; A classy manned station type dealy but with a lot of stations... Jon did carved beef tenderloin and roast chicken, I did cured salmon and seafood, Allen did a pasta bar and then on top of that was a lot of desserts and cheeses and stuff like that. We all had to wear newer, nicer uniforms with big chef hats, which I mean... I know I look retarded but I didn't care too much at the time, and I obviously know it was the drugs, but I didn't mind too much being out there. About half way through though, the freezing came out of my face and my jaw started to throb and I was in some pretty big pain.

After it was over, Allen, Jon and myself cleaned up and Jon drove me home. Once I got home, I made dinner (this was at 11pm or so). I had spaghetti and I did all the dishes and litter and had to bring the garbage and recycling to the curb, so that was my motivation. After dinner I played some games and just chilled out. I don't really remember much, which is kinda sad but... maybe tomorrow will be a better day. I kind of have to assume it has to be, no matter what, so that's kinda nice.
