Exaustion
Today was tiring, physically exhausting, and I even managed to hurt my leg and be a whiny bitch about it. Fun stuff right?
I woke up early again this morning, on my own without an alarm, at around 7:30am, and felt awake, or awake enough to decide to get out of bed right away. I went and started getting breakfast ready, some home made home fries, bacon, scrambled eggs, toast and even some cinnamon toast for a sort of breakfast dessert. I had it all ready by about 8:30am, and I pulled Bekki out of bed by her feet and forced her to eat breakfast (it was our agreement).
We enjoyed breakfast, and sooner rather than later, Lindy arrived to take us to the variety store at the end of Langarth, as it doubles as Uhual depot, and we had booked one for this morning. We signed the appropriate papers, and Lindy saw us off, and Bekki and I hopped into the truck. Bekki drove, and I laughed along with her, and we drove to her place on Richmond, took about an hour or two to get all her stuff into the back of the truck. At one point I walked right into the trailer hitch on the back of the truck and fucked up my leg. I complained a lot about it today, so I kind of feel like a bitch, but fucking christ it hurt, and still hurts. It hurts to touch, to put pressure on it, to put weight on it... it cut it, and bruised an area a couple inches away as well. Anyway, after we got everything packed up, we drove back to my place, and unloaded.
Once everything was unloaded, we spent some time trying to organize and put things away, but hunger overtook us, and I made lunch. I made a turkey sandwich (dijonaise, red leaf, tomato, turkey) served with a caesar salad (no croutons or bacon sadly) and I had a pickle and olive with mine. Once we had eaten lunch, we had to fill the gas tank of the truck and return it to the store, and the total came to $47, which isn't too bad really (right?)
We had to walk home from the store, and it was kinda cold, and my leg hurt, so I wouldn't say it was the most enjoyable thing in the world. Once we got home, we spent the whole afternoon organizing and cleaning, I mostly did my normal stuff, with the added enjoyment of cleaning out the fridge and cleaning out the bathroom shelves and stuff. It was really tiring... all the moving, the waking up early, the constant unpacked/packing/cleaning and just being on my feet the whole day, it left me feeling like a zombie. At around 5pm I just said it was enough, and I decided to have dinner and we wouldn't do any more work for the day.
I made meatloaf, sour cream and onion mashed potatoes and baby carrots and broccoli for vegetables. I was out of ketchup for the meatloaf, so I had to make my own; it turned out alright, and dinner was great.
After dinner, we watched a Game of Thrones half-hour special, mainly just interviews and a small preview of the new season... I'm so excited! One more week and the new season starts! I've already read about 450 pages of A Clash of Kings in about two weeks I guess. It's so good, and I enjoy existing in that world so much.
I've had a bath, and in a bit we'll be sitting down to watch a movie - 12 Monkey's most likely, but we're both really tired, so I'm not sure if we can get through it without falling asleep. I guess time will tell!
I work tomorrow at 7am but should be getting a ride with Al, although last Sunday he slept in and I had to take a cab, so I hope tomorrow morning goes a bit smoother. It should be an easy day, just contintental and brunch, and I've heard most things are ready for me, so like I said, should be an easy day, and I can come home and I have Monday off, so that's great.
A tiring, but good day.
