Shut Us Down
The last day or two have been days of relative tremendous change, something that I've never quite dealt with well... change is something I avoid at all costs, but as a wise man once said, sometimes it's good to just bust your cycle.
Making even the slightest change to something in your life can make some very large changes in perspective, especially the way you feel, what you wish to accomplish in a day, and just.. everything. Something so small and insignificant can have large and significant effects on your day to day life.
First of all, we canceled Rogers and got Start.ca high speed internet. It's $20 cheaper and generally achieves the same speeds (slightly lower but you wouldn't really notice). What prompted the change was my frustration with Rogers policy on shaping bit torrent traffic. They restricted uploading so that even if you were connected to 100 peers, 99% of the time you were unable to upload to them. No upload means they don't send back, which means you download torrents at less than 1k/sec, which was what was happening. I did a bit of research and contacted two ISP's in London, Execulink and Start, and asked them their policy on torrents, and Start met the requirements (they don't give a shit what you use your monthly bandwidth for). We've had it for a couple days now, and while there have been very minor issues, torrents are going fast again, and I can browse the internet... don't really need much else from an ISP.
Secondly, I've been wanting to rearrange my room lately to fit an old TV in somewhere and hook up my PS1 to it so I can play games from the comfort of my bed or room, so I took a few hours in the middle of the night to move and clean everything and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with the results. Michelle and I are going shopping today to grab a few things we need, and I'm going to use those things to further clean and organize the house, and these things have made me feel pretty good.
I've also got more episodes of Penn & Teller's Bullshit to watch, so that also makes me feel happy!
I'm pretty hungry though, and I'm pretty sure we don't have anything edible in the house, as I checked over and over again all night. That will be remedied soon enough, I just hope I can last that long!

We did a pretty good job at shopping on a budget, we got everything we needed and didn't spend even $100!!
Also, I heard Rogers likes little boys!
i just reread this read about lack of food and remembered what it used to be like. working at a food place totally has its advantages.
