A Year In The Kingdom
I didn't quite get through the night safely this time. I woke up at 2am this morning with a sinus headache, and it was my own fault. I didn't take a sleeping pill last night, and I was laying down trying to sleep but I couldn't breath through my nose and it was so difficult to get comfortable, out of frustration and stupidity, I got up and used my nasal spray, convinced that the headaches are a coincedence and I won't get one. It was 2am when I woke up with a splitting headache, unable to get back to sleep or be alive. I think I fell back asleep for a bit, but around 4:30 or 5am, I got up and had breakfast, watched an episode of DS9 and eventually laid back down. I was so tired, and the breakfast helped me feel a bit more comfortable even though the stabbing pain behind my right eye was fairly intense. I managed to fall back asleep until around 8:30am, but I'm so exausted and tired. I ended up taking a migraine pill, and it actually did take away the headache (mostly) but I still feel unimaginably tired, and just like garbage.
I guess I've learned my lesson.
Later in the afternoon, I gave up and had a nap. I guess it wasn't that simple... I went downstairs, feeling like hot garbage, and watched an episode of DS9, but I couldn't quite keep my eyes open, and it felt good to close them. My show ended and I couldn't get up, and that was a sign that I should probably lay down for a nap. I managed to get upstairs just as Bekki was taking our pretty puppy out for a walk. I laid down and turned on TMSPM, and fell asleep quickly, so quickly that I don't even really remember hearing TMS.
I woke up around 5:30pm, after Bekki got home and woke me up. I didn't feel all that much better sadly, but it was time to make dinner, so you do what you gotta do.
For dinner I made breaded catfish (with soda crackers), seven grain rice, green beans and cauliflower. It was good, I enjoyed dinner. Cat fish is a nice fish to eat, and a nice alternative to salmon.
We're watching Big Hero 6, and I had always wanted to see it, but never got around to it. It seems like a fun movie so far.
I've had the urge to play a console game, mainly because I associate sitting at the compute upstairs with work, and find it difficult to relax. I've been playing Diablo 3 a bit, but I hardly enjoy myself. I was thinking that maybe sitting on the couch, in front of the TV, and getting lost in another word for a bit may help me relax. Even when I'm down stairs I typically only program and watch DS9. I'm not sure what I'd play... my first thought was Disgaea, because it's an easy thing to jump in to.
I'm hoping tomorrow is a bit of a better day. I'm going to take a sleeping pill so that my nose doesn't bother me tonight, so I don't have to use my nasal spray, which will lead to me waking up headache free, leading me to have a much better day. I've got a few chores I can do, but like I mentioned earlier, I want to try to relax a bit, maybe try a console game or two and see how it makes me feel.
I'm going to finish the movie now and relax, and then head to bed.
