A Film Noir Love Story

I completed Max Payne 2 on Normal difficulty, for the second time in total, but it really reminded me exactly how amazing this game is. It really is one of the most solid, attractive, interesting, compelling and most importantly FUN PC games I've ever played, and I've played many many games. The only shortcoming of the game is that its well... short. But it offers you the ability to try it on increased difficulties once you've completed it, which brings some replayability to the game. There are five game modes in total, three of them being difficulties, and two other being quite interesting spin offs. The graphics are still the best I've seen, and they run amazingly smooth, even at completely maxed settings. The sound is so far beyond amazing. All the voice over, sound effects, rain and lightning and thunder.. it's just totally immersive and you just get sucked RIGHT INTO the game. Anyway, the bottom line is that if you call yourself a fan of games, at any level, this is a must play. For the casual gamer, it offers a very well done game, that won't take a lifetime to complete and you will be impressed. For hardcore gamers, it offers multiple difficulty settings, spin off settings, and many hidden jokes and other fun things. BUY THIS GAME.

It appears this speciic entry will be out of chronilogical order, as I started with the most recent event, playing Max Payne 2, and now I'm going to go back to yesterday and talk about it.. haha.. oh well. FUCK ORDER!! .. okay, maybe that was a little harsh.

Yesterday Michelle and I went to see Troy at 4pm, and it was a very good movie. Of course Brad Pitt contributed an amazing amount of talent to help bring his character to life (I love Brad Pitt if you haven't heard) and overall I really enjoyed the movie, as I've always enjoyed the Illiad. I'd recommend anyone to go see the movie. It's got it all. After the movie, Michelle waited with me for the bus and she called her Mom to come and get her, and her Mom actually picked up the phone this time ( ) and then I was on my way home.

When I got home, Ally was feeling sick, and I was feeling lazy and I had a headache, so both Ally and I decided to stay home, instead of going out to Call The Office and The Rage. Then shortly after deciding that, Julia came online and said she wanted to come out with me, and I told her we weren't going, and I think she was pretty pissed off at me, but I couldn't go by myself because I needed a place to crash. Aaaanyway, again an hour later or something, Ally was in a bad mood and just wanted to get out, so we changed our minds again and decided to go out. haha. sooo much changing of the minds.. yesss.. sooo much. Okay. So. I didn't even bother getting pretty or anything, haha. I just wore what I was wearing and headed out the door to catch my bus at 10:32pm.

I got downtown at around 11pm, and I waited on the corner of Dundas and Richmond for Ally to arrive, and after a short while she did, with a couple friends. Sweeds!! There were a few guys that Ally met while walking to meet me that were from Sweden and they were soooo cool. They loved the 80's and thought Ally and I were dangerous! It was just a really.. odd occurance, but an interesting one. Afterwards, Ally and I walked to Call The Office, stopping at the bank for Ally and then at the variety store beside Hardcore to get some change (we bought lollypops!) and then we arrived. Once inside, Ally and I claimed a booth, Ally bought a drink and I bought my only beer of the night, and we relaxed and listened to the rockin' 80s music, talking about random things. Eventually Amy found us, and said hello, and introduced us to her two friends, who didn't say a word to us the entire night (probably becacuse we're so dangerous looking... ). Later on Denny and Kate showed up, along with their friend (who happened to be the supervisor at Value Village, also where Denny and Kate work), which is awesome, because they both rock soooo much. Denny is one of the coolest guys ever, and definitley the coolest drunk guy I've ever met. Denny danced a lot on stage and Kate went and danced as well and the night went on, it was really fun. Around 12:30, Kurt finally showed up, which was also awesome, cause Kurt is awesome, and badass of course, and he drank a few beers and danced (in a matter of minutes of course) and then we decided to head over to The Rage.

Once at the Rage, Tim and Dave were playing pool, so we said hello, and Denny and Kate and their friend (I can't remember her name.. I feel stupid) were drunk, so was Amy, and Kurt was ... drunk Kurt, but he's still awesome when he's drunk, even MORE badass if that's possible. We all just kinda hung out and chillaxed as it were. Denny and the girls danced and I chillaxed all sober like in the chairs and watched some people play pool. Dave left pretty early, and quite immediately after we arrived, as he had to work at 7am the next morning. The night went on, and when Tim left he gave Ally a hug, and he gave ME a hug too! YAY TIM! (Tim is my hero by the way, so a hug from him is like.. well, a hug from Tim. And that's just awesome). As the night was coming to a close, Ally decided to get a ride home and that I'd just go with Kurt and sleep at his place, which was cool, so I hugged Ally goodbye and off she went. Kurt, Denny, Kate, their friend and Amy were all pretty far drunk and I was the only sober one, so we all just hung around downtown until around 3:30 when we finally got everyone to walk towards Wendys. While we were walking up the alleyway to Wendys, Kate and Amy had to pee, so they went in the alleyway beside where we were, which was diveded by a fence, and as we were walking by, there were to skunks going through garbage, and Denny just went nuts and ran up to them and the one ran away, but the other skunk charged Denny (and while this was happening Kurt was on the ground laughing sooo much and I was laughing a lot too) and Denny charged back and the skunk took of running under the fence, and then a few seconds later all you here is Kate yell, "There's a fucking skunk over here!!!". IT WAS SOOO FUNNY! HAH! Ooooh, that's why Denny is my favorite drunk. When we got to Wendys though it was already closed, so Kurt talked to Nicole through the drive though (she was just getting off) and we all sat outside of Wendys waiting for her, so we could walk home with her.

While we waited, Kurt and I went to the 24 Hour Mac's Milk and I got a small bag of chips and a pop, and Kurt got Cream Soda and a Kit Cat Chunky Caramel, which he went on to tell me were the greatest creation ever. While we were waiting, I took my sleeping pills, because I figured we'd be getting home soon, and they take about an hour to kick in. After a while, Nicole came out with three salads, one for Denny, Kurt and one for herself. Denny and Kurt ate theirs immediately and we sat around for probably another half an hour while they had a smoke, and finally we said our goodbyes to Denny and Kate as they walked to their place, and Nicole, Kurt, Amy and myself started our journey home. It's about a twenty minute walk, and while we were walking I was super dizzy because my sleeping pills had waaay kicked in, so Nicole held me up as we walked. When we reached the corner right near the house, Kurt and I decided to go to McDonalds and get something to eat... we got Egg McMuffins and Kurt got a hasbrown. Then we walked to the house, and went to Nicoles room and Kurt put in a DVD.

Since I had taken my sleeping pills almost an hour an a half earlier, I was barealy concious, litteraly. I was sitting there barely able to keep my head up, but I didn't really want to sleep with so many people in the room but I just couldn't resist anymore and I crashed. I remember waking up when the movie was over, but that was everything. I slept straight through to the next day, I remember waking up a few times, noon, then 1pm, then 2pm, and finally at 3pm I was up for good. Apparently at some point Nicole said she rolled over and punched me in the stomach, but I don't remember it, and I drooled all over her pillow anyway, so I think that makes us even hehe.

Once I was up, Nicole and I walked to the corner together, and she crossed to go get lunch, and I crossed the other way to the bus stop and I caught the 2A home shortly after. The bus ride takes about an hour to the mall, where I got off, went to the mall and got some cat food, chips and pop, ham and buns and then got back on the bus and finally got home around 4:30pm.

When I got home, I was talking to my Mom and she asked me when I was going to get Lindy to pick me up some stuff and put it on her mastercard, and I said that I didn't know because Lindy had to work everyday, so I called Lindy and she told me tomorrow, but then she called back in about ten minutes and asked if I just wanted to go now, so I said ooookay, since I wasn't doing anything.

On the way to the mall, I listened to The Clash.. I dunno why I'm writing that, I just wanted to. Lindy and I totally rocked the casbah and there's nothing you people can do about it. Anyway, we went to No Frills and I bought something I haven't had for about three months... food. I bought chicken, ground beef, corn, potatos, onions, french fries.. so much.. variety now. Not just spagetthi or mr.noodles once a day, I don't have to feel hunger at all times throughout my day, for at least a month. I felt really guilty the whole time though, and tried to pick out the least expensive stuff... After that was all done, Lindy and I went to walmart where I got some replacement razors for my mach 3 turbo, shaving cream, deoderant and toothpast... and then I was off to home.

Since I got home, I pretty much just played Max Payne 2... once I was finished Max Payne 2, I started writing this entry.. hehe, and here we are now. I left out a few things, like when i showered, and various other things that slipped my mind, but theres no use in going back and adding things in now.. I think I put enough detail into this entry already .

Music-wise today I listened to, The Clash (both London Calling and Combat Rock), Staind - Break The Cycle, some The Postal Service, AFI, Taking Back Sunday, and My Chemical Romance. I suppose that may be it for now, so.. until next time! *runs off laughing maniacally.

this is a picture I took RIGHT after finishing this entry. My face is lit by candles.
mmmmmmm, candles.
