Internet Explorer Issues

I've spent that last day since the release of the re-design tracking down small bugs, one of which wasn't very small: Internet Explorer refused to read the table structure of the comment threads and caused it to become unreadable. I coded in a work around of IE deficiencies, but maintained the same effect in all other browsers, so it's a win-win. Comments should now appear perfectly for every visitor, and there is only one issue remaining and it is with Internet Explorer as well (who would have guessed...)

The website may appear too wide for the window, and not offer the ability to scroll over, however there is no reason it should be doing this, considering on my computer, if I lower my resolution down to 1024x758, and view my site in Firefox, Safari and Opera, the site is displayed perfectly, and with the help of Anthony, with his resolution set to 1024x768, in Firefox and Internet Explorer my site is perfect as well... so it only seems to be a problem in some peoples Internet Explorers... so it's a little hard to track a bug when it's not a bug with my code, but a bug with the browser. I'll be seeing what I can do to fix it, but since it doesn't really interfere with viewing my site, or any of the functions, I'm not too worried, since upgrading your browser, or using a (better) alternative browser will solve the issue, it's up to you if it bugs you that much.

Other than those two issues, I've fixed an issue with broken avatar uri's, which were displaying as broken image boxes in profiles and comments. Now, if the users avatar doesn't exist (or is blank) it puts in a default avatar instead. Right now the default is temporary until I can find one I like. As well, I added e-mail notifications for when new users are approved... as well as notifying me when new users submit a request (which I didn't have before).

I'd just like to say thanks for all the compliments you guys are giving me, it makes me feel great to read them. I've got one person lined up to use this software, and a couple more are interested, so it should be a fun time. Remember to offer me any suggestions or ideas that come to mind, I'd love to include as much as possible.

Today I attempted to install Ruby on Rails on my computer, and tried three times (and it's not an automatted installation) and each time the web server failed to load plugins and wouldn't load, as well it stated my ip as 0.0.0.0, so I got sick of trying and deleted it all. Ruby on Rails is a new programming language I wanted to try out, but it looks like I won't be today.

Now that I'm done this project, I've got a few more in mind that I may start... but I may just give myself a day or two to relax and get this script out of my brain so I can start fresh.
