And Let Them Eat Snacks
Today was a pretty good day. Although I woke up with a headache, over the course of the day I accomplished quite a bit and felt good about it. I suffered through an above average exaustion. My eyes were so heavy and I had to force myself to do anything because I had no energy.
Bekki has a mean cold, and is sleepy and snot filled, so she can't really do anything, and I'm trying my best to take care of her, but I don't really have to do anything different, because I always take care of her!
I made soup for lunch today, my normal classic vegetables oup. It's the easiest soup I can make, and takes about ten minutes of prep, and it tastes great. It's one onion, two stalks of celery, one can of tomato juice plus that same can filled with water. Then two cups of peas and carrots, and one cup of corn. Then add a cup of cooked alphabet pasta! So good! Once it's all together, just add a bunch of salt, a sprinkle of cayanne pepper.
Tomorrow I need to make a bunch of banana bread or banana muffins, but I kinda want to look up a new recipe because lately whenever I make it, it always seems a bit dry. I do like it though, so I'm not sure if trying a new recipe is worth it or not because if it isn't as good I'll have wasted time and money.
I played some Diablo 3 today, and watched the first couple episodes of Black Mirror.
For a long time I had it downloaded, and on my list of shows to watch, but had never got to it. All I knew about the show as that it was British, and it was similar to Twilight Zone, in that it's unconnected, one-shot stories telling interesting what-ifs and stories to make you think about society and that kind of stuff. It was a lot better than I had expected, or well... maybe that's not fair. I guess I didn't have any expectations, so when I watched it, I was really drawn it by it and thought it was really well done.
I look forward to watching more.
Tomorrow is Family Day, so I get another day off. I look forward to the extra time off, and I've been enjoying myself so far. Bekki and I are just watching SNL right now, and I'll probably go to bed soon.
