My Apologies
I should've written earlier but I was distracted by going through really old pictures and uploading them to Facebook. Sounds kinda lame, but I assure you, it was quite enjoyable; A fun experience!
Today was pretty low key... I just stayed in and played a bunch of games: La Pucelle, Breath of Fire 4, beat Ratchet and Clank, and played some Darksiders for PC. Overall an unproductive, but fun day of relaxing.
Tomorrow I've got a three hour shift at work, only to go down to the CVG and make sandwiches for people. It sucks because I hate it down there and it makes me feel nervous for whatever reason, so... not really looking forward to tomorrow at all. Least I get off a bit early...
That's all I've got in me for right now, I left writing too late and I feel too out of it from my sleeping pill, so I gotta stop.
ps. a few minutes later
Okay let's try this again...
I woke up around 11am, which is a bit later than normal... a bit of a sleep-in, if you will. I suppose it's to be expected considering I stayed up to around 3:30am the night before, and it's not that bad of a thing to sleep in that late considering I had no plans and nothing specific to do. When I got up, I decided to just have a normal, smaller breakfast instead of a special one, so I just had two pieces of rye with peanut butter and a coffee, and ate a pear and apple apple-sauce.
I pretty much started playing Darksiders the second I was done breakfast. It was a game I had spent the night before downloading (it was a 10GB game) and I was excited to try it out, although a bit worried about the controls, performance and whether or not it would overheat my overworked laptop, but I ended up playing it for about an hour and had no issues beyond some sound echoing and stuttering during large battles (which sucks). It's a mix of God of War and The Legend of Zelda, in that the combat and platforming is like God of War, but there are dungeons, power ups, treasure chests much like Zelda, so it's a neat little mix of gametypes. On top of all that awesome, the art is all done by one of my favorite artists, Joe Mad, who did Uncanny X-Men back when I read, and Battle Chasers which was a comic I used to love to death.
Afterward, I pretty much just floated around from game to game, enjoying myself but feeling slightly uncomfortable as I could feel a migraine slowly building in the back of my head. I knew it was coming, and I knew it would suck, but there was nothing I could do. I took tylenol, I drank water, but nothing helped, the headache became stronger and I started to feel sicker and sicker, until I was just a gross mess of blah. I played La Pucelle a bunch this afternoon, and also a bit of Breath of Fire 4, and some LIMBO, so overall the entire day was spent playing games pretty much. Playing Breath of Fire 4 and La Pucelle (both of them) have made me really want to play Final Fantasy Tactics, but for weird reasons you probably wouldn't think. The reason, is because La Pucelle and Breath of Fire 4 both feature and overworld map almost the same as FFTactics, and the graphics in BoF4 are very much like FFTactics, in that they are both PS1 games with dated graphics. Anyway, this desire made me get out my PSP and tv output cables for it, but after some setting up, it appears games don't get scaled properly to the TV, so it's played in a small screen inside a box on your TV... not that cool, so that kinda killed that desire for a bit. I knew that the game was released on iPhone this month, so I ignored my better judgement and bought it from the app store, so I now have FFTactics: War of the Lions on my iPhone! Pretty awesome...
For dinner I made a beef tenderloin, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, baby carrots and green beans, and I watched an episode of TNG while eating. By this point, however, I was in pain, felt sick and was very uncomfortable, and couldn't eat dessert, and fell like I was going to both vomit and pass out, but I didn't want to nap or go to bed for the night because it was already kind of late and I figured I could just suffer through a couple more hours and go to bed early after taking a sleeping pill, as the sleeping pills tend to numb the side effects of migraines.
I spent the majority of the evening scanning through all of my backed up images from the last 5 years or so, just looking through them and picking some to upload to Facebook, as I've got such a huge supply of images and have never really shared them in years, so... that was fun.
Well... I feel better that I wrote a bit more, and I should be heading to bed soon!
