Weak Week
This week has been a whirlwind of non-stop stuff to do, and my brain is just about catching up now, which leaves me feeling... kinda tired, kinda lost feeling.
Before I used to switch between periods of severe depression and anxiety, really just mind-fucked periods of time where I could barely function, and times of creativity, excitement, indulgence and being socially active, but it seems now I only switch between being depressed and being a bit less depressed. I'm stuck in this cycle of being brought down almost every day.
I woke up late today... well, I slept in a bit late, instead of waking up at 9:15am like I should've, I woke up at 10am, so it was too late to catch the bus. Just as I was getting up, Calen sent me a text asking if I was going, and I told him I had slept in, so I probably wasn't, but he offered me a ride, so I said sure, and had about thirty minutes to get ready. I ate some toast and had some coffee, watched some Ze Frank while eating, and had a few minutes so I actually did some dishes.
We got to school just on time and had an hour long Math class where we learned all about compound interest... something that I kind of remember doing in highschool, but have very little actual interest in, no pun intended. It wasn't a bad class, I generally enjoy the math classes, they're a bit more simpler than the other classes, and a bit more relaxing.
After math, we had C++, by far the most difficult, intensive and busy class... we talked more about UP and UML and use cases, and that went on for about two hours. After class, Calen, Mathew and I decided to go out for lunch becasue... well, because that's like... what we do. We always go out to eat if we are all together and it's after class and Calen has his car, so we drove around and eventually decided on going to the downtown Jack Astor's.
I ordered a chicken club sandwich, which came on a foccacia, with a nice smoked paprika mayo, and I got a side soup which was Italian wedding soup, which was great. I enjoyed lunch, but was kind of disappointed with the selection on the menu... not much to choose from and most of it was all the same. Because of the quality of the food though, I would probably go back again.
Once home I immediately started working on my client/server case study because I hadn't yet and it's due on Monday I think... sometime soon. Anyway, I did about half of it, and then decided to walk to the grocery store. I was feeling pretty down, the weather was shitty, but I wanted the fresh air and the feeling of just being out, so I got dressed and went. It was drizzling the whole time, and I got a bit wet, but it was somewhat nice to get out. I picked up mainly food for the cats... dry and wet food, and I got myself an oven size lasagna and cannelloni for days where putting something in the oven is better than cooking. In all honesty, I don't think I've made a nice meal in a week or two... kinda sucks. Besides the spaghetti I ate the other day (that I ruined) I don't even remember the last time I cooked dinner, or even lunch for that matter... I'm always either at school or at work, so... yeah, that's kind of depressing, maybe I just won't think about it right now.
After the grocery store, I put in that cannelloni in the oven (which takes an hour) and used that hour to continue work on my case study. I worked and work and as dinner was ready, I sat down and watched Bored to Death, eventually going back to the computer with some dessert and finishing the case study. I finished at around 9:00pm, and it was too late to start working on a new project, so I ran a bath to start relaxing. Afterward, I played about ten minutes of Batman, a game I wish I had more time to play, but it was still fun to run around for a few minutes. Eventually I turned it off, turned on SNL and started writing.
I've got school tomorrow at 8am, so I gotta wake up at 6am and leave by 7am, so I should really be going to sleep right about now. For the next two days I need to work on the C++ project non-stop, so I'm sure I'll go crazy and you'll hear about it... but until then...
Oh and I still can't stop listening to Spidersong.
