9 Year Anniversary
Today is my 9th wedding anniversary, crazy that's it's been nine years now, it really doesn't feel that way.
Pretty normal day today, but I did wake up with a migraine. Most likely due to tasting wine - generally an issue with inexpensive wines, typically higher sugar content, tends to lead to migraines even without drinking too much. I took a migraine pill after breakfast and it cleared up before lunch.
Bekki and I agreed not to do anyhting special for our anniversary. We have recently spent a bunch of money on lots of wine during our last trip to the Niagara region, more than normal, along with other expenses (fixing the pool, lawn mower issues, etc) and so buying things or doing big special events just didn't feel like a good idea. Unrelated to the anniversary, Bekki was going to be preparing pork tenderloin for dinner, as once a week or so she helps out and makes a dinner. She also had a piano lession right near the end of dinner, so there was a bit of a rush.
We had a tiny bit of the wine we bought yesterday, and enjoyed dinner. Afterward, I went downstairs and worked on remaking this website, the kids came with me and watched some TV.
The kids had a really difficult time falling asleep tonight. Ollie had had a nap at daycare, something he does from time to time, so he was not very tired. Jensen also didn't appear tired, but I don't have a reason for that. Overall, bedtime was pretty crappy today, with the kids constantly calling for Bekki and not having a very relaxing bedtime.
After bedtime, I sat down and played Dark Souls 2. I pretty much spent an entire hour dying and running back fighting the Pursuer boss, but I eventually did it, and that was fun. I went to a new area after and began exploring that area. Died a few time, didn't make tons of progress, but there is still a lot to explore.
Tomorrow is Friday, Friday's are great.
