I do want to take this time to mention some things, some links you should be aware of, in order to a) make your computer more secure b) make your computer more usefull and c) steal stuff easier. Okay, with that said, let's go over security. I'm going to post some links, and you, the reader, no matter how stupid you think you are, or how smart you think you are, should click, download and install whatever I mention, because it will help you and it's not that difficult.
Now on to more interesting things. I really do think you should do all that stuff, because it really will make a difference. Many of you probably know that KLite has recently disappeared from the internet due to severe legal issues, so people are pretty desperate for ideas and ways to steal things from hardworking people, well, I guess since I'm feeling nice, I'll let you in on the latest piracy stuff, just don't tell too many people ;)
AdAware by Lavasoft This application scans your computer for crap ass mother fucking adware, which will create popups, toolbars, and all this annoying shit you probably see all the time and wonder where the hell it came from. I obviously recommmend you download, install and run this program on a regular basis, but even more importantly, if you experience popups all the time, even when your browser isn't open, or if there are tool bars showing up where you didn't put them, or if you feel like your computer is running much slower than it should be, download and run this program.
Spybot: Search and Destroy This applications scans your computer for shit mouth cock smoking spyware, which sits running in the background, invisible to you, the user, and sends all your information (private or non-private) to whomever made the spyware. Things like what programs you run, how often you run them, how long your computer is on, what websites you go to and so on, and this program will get of this stuff. Again, if you find your computer running slower than it should, than it's even more important to get this and run it on a regular basis.
Windows XP: Service Pack 2 There has been a lot of talk about this fucking up your computer, but it's all microsoft hating bullshit. It adds a lot of useful features, stops popups and adds a lot of security. If you don't have this installed already, or don't know if you do, go to http://www.windowsupdate.com right away, trust me, you'll love it, and it's probably the best thing you can do for your computers safety and security. Of course, you can click the first link in this paragraph to read more about the pack, before you download it.
I've been working really hard on the latest php script I started, entries.php, and I've made so much progress it amazed me sometimes. If anyone who comes here visits Emily's Website [Chaotic Maelstrom] then you would notice her layout change, leaving comments and various other changes... well, anyway, she's a very early beta release of the entry script I'm working on, so you can go check it out for a little preview of what I've been doing. I've been alternating days, one day playing Final Fantasy 7 for hours and hours at a time (10 hours being my current record) and then the next day working on the script for hours and hours at a time. There are so many features already included, and I keep coming up with more and more as time goes on.. some features that are built in so far:
Bit Torrent! What this does is integrates a new way of downloading and sharingn files. It's 100% secure and legitimate, so don't worry about that. It doesn't give you access to files, it just gives you the ability to download torrent files, which is what you want. Torrent files let you connect to other people, and share downloading, so it goes faster, and you upload the file at the same time and share it and blah blah blah lots of technical stuff... basically, when you download a torrent file, as you download it, you also give the file to other people, and other people give it to you, so it downloads faster. To read a unjordanesque explaination of what it does, just go to the bit torrent website.. I'm sure they explain it better than I do. Anyway.. it's important that you go to this website, click on Download, and install this.
SuprNova.org Search Page This page is basically a search engine for torrent files. Torrent files basically being a 'ticket' to download something. You'll only download it fast if other people are downloading it too, but I've had great use with this site, getting speeds of over 100 k/sec. So once you have the torrent files installed, you go to this site, search for what you want, Music, Moves, Apps, games, anything imaginable!!! and it will show you the results. If there are results, that means there are torrents available, click the one you want, run the torrent file, pick the place you want to download voila! It's really great, since websites can't get shut down for hosting torrents, since it's not the torrents that contain the software! Anyway.. use this to get any illegal stuff you want.
KaZaa Lite Aaand, just for kicks, I'll throw up the old installation file for Kazaa Lite, which will install Kazaa lite, and guess what? It still works. So get it while it's hot before it's shut down! All your music, software and virus getting needs addressed in one place! I still use it for music :)
I've already come up with a lot more things I want to add in, and that was only a partial list, there are tons of other things it can do. A few things I want to do is: an automatic counter, which will count the visitors to the site. Tracking of links. It will track how many times the link is clicked, so you can see what your viewers are interested in, and what they're not. and.. well, other stuff too.. I've been coding so much in PHP that I've felt a need for a more dedicated PHP editor, since Arahnophilia is better with HTML editing. I found a review site that reviews php editors, and I found a high rated one which I like the look of, called PHP Designer 2005, which I really like so far, even though I haven't done a lot of coding in it yet. I recommend it to anyone who works with PHP or think they might be soon (which I also recommend! It's great fun!).
