It's a Tuesday!

I have another headache... a mixture of being tired and the heat, and the hard work all day... two days in a row, what a shitty thing. I woke up with the headache actually, and that's just one of the worst things ever. I never want to wake up and feel a headache, it's just the worst way to start a day. The headaches could also be from the rain that's coming.. pressure.. or whatever.. something. Shut up.

I have a headache, so I don't feel like playing WoW because that usually makes headaches worse (something to do with the screen, maybe the motion, I dunno, but it makes headaches worse if I already have one) and I my legs, feet and hips hurt like it's going to rain, like ache with lots of pain so that sucks (to go with a headache) and I have stomach pains from something.. I ate a lot of Salmon at lunch, and I didn't feel that good right after, so I dunno. It took me an hour and a half to do most of the dishes, but I was so tired and sore that I couldn't finish them all and just gave up and had supper (a sandwich). I'm too tired to finish them now, but I cleaned the kitty litter.. but I'm in pain, so I might try to play WoW, or maybe played Persona 3, since I had a lot of fun with it last night.

Scared

So I'm really scared to go back to work, I got promoted kinda, a substantial raise, and I have to cook everyday now, as well as all my regular responsibilities. I have to cook the staff meals for the whole place each morning, and so I need to be trained on that, and to do that I have to start wearing a hat and put my hair up in it (which probably has me the most nervous for some reason) and he asked about my piercings and agreed that it's okay if I keep them, but I don't even know anymore, I don't even really care anymore, I'd probably take them out if it wasn't such a hassle of going somewhere to have them taken out.

Paralyzed

So I haven't really written anything substantial in a long time, and I have a somewhat valid excuse of not having the time, since I get about 5 hours a day to do whatever I want, and sitting and wasting a half an hour or however long it takes to just tell three people about what I've been doing isn't as attractive as something like World of Warcraft or falling asleep. I guess I see now why pretty much everyone I know except Mark stopped writing in their journal a few years ago.

Work is going well, in that I enjoy each day and have fun and feel comfortable. I don't ever get nervous and I always leave feeling satisfied and like I worked hard. I do about four peoples jobs, I do the dishes and put away the dishes in two different kitchens, I'm in charge of receiving any and all orders (like meat, veggies and dry goods), making sure they're all there, signing for them and then putting it all away, all while dishes are piling up. I'm also responsible for keeping the shelves in dry storage organized, responsible for breaking down all boxes outside and making sure they're in the recycling boxes. I'm responsible for helping the chefs by getting stuff they need from the other kitchen and bringing it back quickly, and finally, I'm responsible for random things the chefs ask me to do, like cleaning something outside, or fixing a hose, or moving stuff around.

Anyway, I never complain and I'm always eager to help, so they really like me there, and Andrew already told me he's going to talk to the bosses to change my shift to an 8 hour shift instead of 7, so I'll have 10 more hours on my paycheque, and Jeff said they're going to get me a raise, and today Melissa confirmed that I'm the only one who works in the kitchen that is getting one. No idea how much, but more money is more money, and I'm okay with that.

My days are pretty much all the same really... I wake up at 6am, and I crawl out of bed and turn on the Simpsons in the living room, and I eat breakfast (usually a bowl of Frosted Flakes, sometimes bacon and eggs, but not lately). I watch 3 episodes of the Simpsons, and put clothes on after the first is over, get my hair and teeth brushed after the third, and make sure my phone, bus pass and iPod are all in the correct pockets, and then leave at 7:15, and the Wellington comes and picks me up around 7:25.

I get to work at 8:00am and start doing the dishes, and an GFS or Sysco order comes within the first hour, and so does produce, so I have to put all that away. The rest of the day is managing my time between both kitchens. I don't really get a break or a chance to sit down until around 2pm when I have something to eat (usually whatever I ask for at the Cafe). I then leave at 3pm when Kristina gets there to take over.

I usually call my Mom when I'm done work to just say hey and ask if anything was shipped to her office, and then catch a Wellington at the University hospital entrance on Windermere, and I either get of at Oxford and Richmond to go to the grocery store, or I stay on and get off at Grey st. I get home at around 4pm or so.

I then usually turn the computer on and relax and unwind until 5pm (check boards, 1up) and then play Word of Warcraft for some time during the night, or watch the Simpsons, basically one of those two things, or more recently maybe play Persona 3, which is a new game I bought on the weekend. I then try to go to sleep around 11pm and repeat the day again every weekday. It's simple, dependable and I like that.

I guess I've got a few things recently that I didn't mention... Let's see. I got a new cell phone. For a while there, ever since I was looking for a job, I was using my Mom's less then spectacular cellphone (a really bad one) but I obviously needed a new one, and as you probably know, when I buy something, I try to buy the best version possible (realistically), since that's just how I roll (like buying a 20" iMac instead of a 17", or the bigger iPod instead of a smaller one, or a bigger external). I just figure if I'm going to have to pay money out of each paycheque for the next little while, I might as well do it right and get something worth owning. So I bought the nicest one offered by Virgin Mobile, a Motorola RAZR V3c, as pictured below. It's really nice, has a big screen with a nice resolution, a 1.8 megapixel camera, and it's nice and thin, so it fits into my small pants really easily. So I'm happy with it... On the plan I'm on right now (no contract, can end whenever) it's $20 for 200 minutes, and $5 for 100 texts a month, so I think I'm going to stick with that, since I doubt I'll go over. It's free to receive texts, so people can text me all they want, and I have free voice mail, free call display and free three way calling.
