Excessive

So it was a couple days ago now, but things have been so busy, shocking, depressing, terrible and overwhelming lately, that I haven't had a chance to sit down and breath, let alone write something, so I'm finally now taking five minutes to at least get started.

Work was pretty easy today, well... laid back, organized, you know... kind of the normal recently, with our banquet team really coming together.. myself, Jon and Allen. It was just Allen and I today for continental, brunch and then some reception fare.

Today could've been much worse.

Is this the end of a tiring week or the start of a new one? It's hard to say really, but I feel so drained and empty and ready to retreat and run away and climb somewhere dark and be quiet and sleep and disappear and just not exist for awhile. I want to just give up and let go and not feel like weight stacked on top of me all the time.

I'm very frustrated at the moment, and not just frustrated, but angry, and feeling; not trapped, but something similar. For the last week (at least) we've been having severe issues with our Rogers internet. The phone and the TV work fine, it's just the internet service we're having problems with, in that it's barely working at all, and at times not working in the least. There are times where its functioning to a decent level, but even the best times aren't what it used to be like. Most of the time websites load slowly, and World of Warcraft has significant lag, but when it gets really bad, like last Saturday, Sunday and last night, websites will not load, World of Warcraft gets ping in the 2000 to 5000 range where it's unplayable, and there is basically no reason to be on the computer. Tonight is probably the worst it's been yet, it won't even let me connect to a World of Warcraft server, I did manage to run a speed test on the network, and we pay for a 10Mbps connection, or 10,240Kbps and the speed test results was that my connection speed was at 58Kbps, that's 0.05% of what it should be. Fuck you Rogers. Fuck you.

I had this whole dramatic thing ready to write but now I've lost my will to do it, so instead I'm going to eat popcorn.

Last night I watched a few episodes of Penn & Teller's Bullshit, and it was a very interesting show to watch. While the show is in no way unbiased, it's still interesting to see some widely accepted things exposed as 80% bullshit, like environmentalism, hypnosis and talking with the dead.
