A Long Break

A large number of things have made it so I stopped writing, ranging from large, life altering things, to smaller, more hobby related things.

Back at the end of July, Bekki and I went to I4C, the international cool climate chardonnay festival, which we promptly picked up COVID. The day we got home it hit us, and the next morning we were out. It was basically a full week of near hallucination level sickness, both Bekki and I were down for the count, both kids basically taking care of themselves. That whole stretch really messed up my ability to find time to write, and had long lasting health effects, including taste, smell and shortness of breath issues (as well as perhaps blood pressure issues).

I can't think! My head hurts... it's pounding and walking around the house hurts, and moving hurts, and yeah, I'm complaining.. so what? It's messing with my mind, I can't think right, I keep thinking in circles and I can't solve simple problems. I wanted to work on that work/timestamp site I was planning but kept being stumped by small problems, or just by the fact that I couldn't really think straight, so I eventually gave up, sadly... as I really wanted to work on it, I just thought it would be fun.

Digital Devil Saga eats babies!

Okay... so it's been awhile since I've written a 'real' entry... or at least what I would consider a real one myself. For the past month, or perhaps the majority of it, I've gone out of my way not to write anything, for various reasons; reasons I won't really be going into. I did make the occasional entry with a picture or a link... but... well, that hardly counts for anything really, and if I was a reader, I'd probably be calling me some rude things (because I know reading this website is so important to you).
