Who's Gonna Save My Soul Now?

Today was as stressful and terrible as I had predicted.

Okay, so maybe I'm exagerating, but it was still a run around, rushing, stressful time, and I knew it was going to be, and I felt like I was the only one who noticed how little time we had. I hate when that happens, when I feel like the only one worried. I felt like I was going to have a heart attack.

I spent almost the entire day working on elaborate, fancy platters. I wish I had taken pictures because I most certainly would've posted them, but I made a very large cheese tray on a mirror, it looked great... also made a large crudite (vegetable platter) and two very nice fruit trays (one larger, normal one and another smaller, exotic fruits).

We spent the morning getting two grand hall lunch buffets ready, and then lunch service was busy so we had to go and help Jon a few times, and it really just ate into the time we had to work on the reception stuff. We ended up doing fewer things, which is good, because we finished right at the last second. Overall the day was stressful and busy, and I worked 10 hours, but there have been more stressful days.

I think I previously mentioned my brain problems, the fact that recently my mind has been racing, I can't keep focus on anything and my attention span is for crap. Today was pretty similar, which is surprising to me, because usually after a long day of hard work, especially 10+ hour days, I tend to get home and I'm so tired I can't think and it's easy to relax, but no, the problem was still there. I did try my best to force myself to just stick with one thing but... couldn't really.

I had some spaghetti when I got home, which was good... I watched Jimmy Fallon with dinner, and then sat down and looked at my games to search for inspiration... something that would jump out at me as my next game to play through, but nothing really jumped out. I chose to start Phantom Brave again, as I did at one point, played for 17 hours and got to level 40, but it had been so long since I had played that I had to start over and lose my progress. There is quite a bit of story at the start of the game, so while it felt like i had played the game for a long time, I played for 45 minutes and only completed two maps, but.. I think I'll go back to it. I hope I do anyway, I would love to play through and beat that game. After I stopped playing that, I played some Plants Vs. Zombies while listening to Gnarls Barkley, and then played some Unreal Tournament 2004. These few actions lead straight up to bath time at around 10pm, and now we're here. I'm writing and noticing that I've only been home for something like 4 hours and I'm going to be heading to bed very shortly.

Tomorrow there are no events during the day, but there is stuff to get ready at night, so that's pretty much what I'll be doing all day, more reception fair... sigh.

I also work on Saturday, so no late night tomorrow or anything special, just another normal day.
